Musk faces setbacks amid Tesla selloff and Doge backlash

Nope.
The American People made their voices heard.
312>226
Massive Popular Vote by millions.
Congress
Senate
All swing states
Over 80% swing towards Republican regarding all counties.
Massive electoral college win.
The American People voted for DOGE. FACT!
The President does have the constitutional right to make cuts just like bill clinton and al gore did.
President Trump does have a mandate and it was given to him by the American People.
The fact of getting 1.5% more vote and a large electoral victory back in November says nothing about whether those same voters are thrilled, with the way it has worked out, though many still willing to stay the course for now, to see if this admin can get anything right.

As for Musk (which this thread is about), not one single person cast their vote, because Musk would fix things, which he really hasn't. It is surpising, how many gov workers voted for trump, but now out of jobs, even though they were working as dedicated, contributing workers on important projects, even getting a letter in their file, saying they were let go for poor performance. I guess Elon want to cut the workforce as a matter of policy (whether good worker and important work or not) but still wants option to cheat them out of even unemployment, by unilaterally declaring let go for cause, instead of policy layoff. Nobody was thrilled he was mouthing off in foreign countries as he is supposed to have "dick" to do with foreign policy. His multiple NAZI salutes didn't go over well. NAZIS may be favored in the new administration, but generally still considered "no good stinkin NAZIS" by the rest of us, and wonder if he is one of them, at heart. Some seniors appear to be worried about their Social Security, they paid into for years, as they retire or are about to retire, due to major cuts in staffing by DOGE at Social Security, and they blame Musk. I cannot speak to any real changes in Social Security, as our checks (after being in the paying in general workforce for 55 years), as our direct deposits have not even had a hiccup. I cannot help but wonder, if Americans new to signing up to start receiving their retirement benefits at the end of their working careers, will have as easy a time. The stock market has been rocked by instability, Muck's stock, included, tanking on it's own, but that could be more to do with the shitty overpriced product, with it's many recalls and amazing drop in resale ability and drastic drop in value. Kind of make me wonder if some of the people vandalizing Tesla car lots are customer, that lost many thousands of dollars, more than cancelling any gas saving dollars they anticipated when buying cars with battery problems, sticky accelerator problem, wipers quitting in the rain, self driving fails causing accident and injury, etc. Propping up that company, may take more than the Prez hocking Tesla cars on the Whitehouse lawn and the Commerce Secretary advertising for Elon, to buy his stock, even though is previous investors have lost a ton and it does not seem any more an advisable investment vehicle, than the vehicles he sells, and I am sure the fact of two of his rocket blowing up after lift of, didn't help.

Yeah, I forgot. You believe your bias is fine…
Are you OK with your bias? Why should anybody else be different?

Again, President Trump talked endlessly about DOGE during the campaign.
The American People liked what they heard.
The American People voted for President Trump
The American People voted for DOGE in a massive landslide.
FACT!
Buyer's remorse is also a fact. It is different, when you think he will magically save trillions getting rid of some unknown government worker, than when he gets rid of you, with a bad work termination, even though, you were doing your job, securing nuclear stock piles, repairing navigation buoys, or examining social security and taxes for fraud, or tracking and recovering government assets.

The entire point of manufacturing these electric vehicles (according to you leftists/dems was to save the planet from man made climate change). That's what you pushed for decades. If you want to talk about DOGE you have to talk about man made climate change. You were all huge Musk fans, and then he supported President Trump and you threw your entire climate change hoax right out the window based on nothing but mindless hate, (TDS if you will)
If you want to talk about the supposed "selloff" then you have to talk about how all the leftists/dems who bought these vehicles did not actually think man made climate change was truly a major crisis when they decided to retaliate against their former hero Elon Musk.
You make the same stupid mistake, again and again. I am the two gas powered full size SUV guy, voter for Nixon, Reagan and Bush, multiple weapons owner and instructor, concealed permitted weapons carrier (who actually carries), son and grandson of family farmers, raised in the church, graduate of a major Christian university, 50 plus year married to only one woman, who raised 3 successful kids, aborting none, who locals don't fk with, because I look like a cop or a narc, when walking my German Shepherd. The only thing about me that doesn't scream conservative, is I wasn't taking in by trump, nor am I impressed by Musk "boy genius?), just because he has enough money as savey to buy the presidency for trump, knowing how easily he is manipulated.

Are you OK with your bias? Why should anybody else be different?
I am not a mod, expected to be fair in moderating the board...The views you put out shows the rest of us that you are unable to do that...

‘Elon Musk began the week of 10 March with a friendly sit-down interview on Fox Business to talk about his work with the so-called “department of government efficiency” (Doge) and the state of his businesses. Already, it had been a trying few days for the world’s richest man, who was facing a Tesla stock selloff and fierce backlash over his attempts to radically overhaul the federal government. His net worth declined over $22bn on Monday alone ...

The past 10 days have marked several of the most significant setbacks for Musk in months. Tesla, arguably his marquee company, continued to fall in value as investors worried about the threat of trade war and possible recession – as well as declining profits. Escalating protests against the company over the billionaire’s role in the government also grew in number and intensity across the US, coupled with rising cases of vandalism and social stigma against his cars. SpaceX has also struggled, with one of its rockets dramatically exploding in midflight last week and then an announcement on Wednesday that it was delaying a rescue mission to retrieve “stranded” astronauts.’

Musk is among the more reprehensible and obscene manifestations of the second Trump regime – an unelected robber baron in a make-believe ‘department’ engaged in a reckless, irresponsible, and unwarranted attack on lawful governance.
Musk will lose personal wealth as libs fight back against responsible government spending

But for the sake of our republic cant be helped

Thank God musk and trump are not the corrupt oligarts that libs say they are

Again, please refrain from lashing out. This forum is for intellectually honest debate. This is not an anger management group session. And please try to stay on topic. No one is interested in more of your uncorroborated stories.
Your blind hate for President Trump is proof enough that you base your conclusions and theories on propaganda. The media told you to hate President Trump and you went along with it blindly.
Elon Musk has used his genius, real life technology and his sense of charity to help many people. He provided starlink services during several humanitarian crisis situations. He also was able to bring those astronauts home when your status quo heroes did nothing. The American People understand that President Trump (like him personally or not) is a leader that can actually accomplish things.
You need to approach this world we live in with logic, not emotions.

What facts do have that would prove your hypothesis that The American People are having "buyer's remorse"?
President Trump's numbers are better this time around then his previous term.
Again, you are showing your TDS tendencies.
One of the factors that are contributing to his higher favorability numbers is his implementation of DOGE.
The American People have been told time and time again that your status quo politicians will weed out corruption. It never happens and the same people kept voting in more status quo politicians.
The American People want this fraud, waste and abuse eliminated. Your average American doesn't understand why people like you don't.
The American People are moving on from this statist corruption and propaganda.

More baloney.

Again, you post an emotional rant that is not based on any facts or logic. And then you went into the all to familiar Nazi territory. That is where you lost all credibility.
Then you eluded to the fact that Musk is terminating benefits which there is no proof of.
Again, for the hundredth time President Trump talked endlessly about DOGE and The American People voted for it in a massive landslide. Your theory that there is buyer's remorse is unfounded. President Trump's favorability numbers are increasing and DOGE has contributed to that.
Then you pedaled the wild eyed conspiracy where Tesla owners are vandalizing their own vehicles.
Is that honestly your final conclusion on the matter. Are the dealership owners blowing up there own dealerships? Are Tesla owners paying hooligans to terrorize them and their families while driving around.
You are really out on a limb with your conspiracy theories.
Maybe you should sit the next few rounds out and breath into a paper bag slowly.

I am loving this slow motion crashing of this American company. Too bad for the employees but if tie your success to the devil there will be blow back.

Tesla stock prices is back to the Dec 2, 2022 prices. Bwahahahahahahahaha. Years of appreciation wiped out.
I'm not sure if you understand how the adult world works. Explain how Tesla is the devil 🙄
Be specific please.

Elon is a specific devil. Elon is the specific CEO of Tesla. Tesla is the specific company run by the devil. None of us will ever transact with Tesla.

I am prime electric car customer. Liberal with short city drives. Wife has a hybrid lexis but I primarily drive a 2024 gas guzzling 4runner limited that I love to take hiking. I would buy a tesla for my work commute but I wont now. i will buy another brand in the next year or so.

Too bad you feel that way. I guess you will have to live with it, just as Muks has to live with his failing sales, and political unpopularity, partially related to his new-found political status and actions, after buying the election for Donnie. In order to get a free hand to make his changes, legal or illegal, good or bad, informed or totally lacking in understanding of who he fires, what they do, in many cases, not even appearing to care. He is running the Government pretty much like his Tesla company he is CEO of, running it into the ground, without quality control, and enduring failing support.

You sound like a commercial for Elon by the Secretary of Commerce. Just when did the US Government start advertising for specific manufacturers and products, anyway?
