"Moving to Texas is over" according to Rogan as population growth slows

I guess what you're saying then is that Biden and the democrats' inflation is still making it so that Americans can't afford to live. While that is true, things are starting to clear up now due to Trump's policies, hence a decrease in the rate at which people are moving to Texas.

All the productive folks have fled your Dimwinger shitholes. You can keep the rest.

Yawn. I am looking for all the things that got "more affordable" like you claimed. Zero deflation has occurred. Anything cheaper has more than been offset by something getting more expensive. Otherwise the CPI would go down. It hasnt.

All depends on the time of year on wher I’d want to live.

In the winter, the Las Vegas, Tucson, Phoenix, Yuma, in the summer, Colorado, Wyoming, eastern Washington or eastern Oregon, Utah. Southern Oregon coast, Yosemite.

I’m not big on the tornados of the Midwest, the hurricanes of the gulf and eastern states, the humidity of the eastern states.

Texas is hot in July.

In other late breaking news, water is wet at room temperature and the sky is blue when it's not overcast.

Tune in to the Obvious News Network for all the things that should be evident, but you weren't paying attention.

We're always ONN.

This just in! When the power goes out on a hot day, your air condition will not work and the temperature in your house will rise.

Stay tuned after the break to hear how SCREENS keep bugs out of your house EVEN when you open the windows!
Texas power grid is in shambles. I wouldnt want to deal with it.

Yes, yes I have. Philly in particular when they were closing down a DuPont plant there.

The once Italian neighborhoods were already turning into black slums but not as bad as today.

My old first line supervisor used to live there and I helped him move his mom out and into his home here.

Damn, that woman could cook! Her granddaughter runs a Eyeglass Factory in town and she is a hell of a cook too. Grandma moved in just at the right time I guess.

It was funny, we got a bunch of supervisors from Philly, all Italian-Americans and they all bought homes in town almost within sight of each other. I loved getting invited to their get-togethers.

They did not take any shit either and gave the local tough guys a run for their money. The plant manager bailed more than one of them out of jail on several occasions. They lamented the lack of a neighborhood bar. ;)

Pittsburg was just starting it's downhill slide when I had to spend some time there but even then I can't say it was anything approaching nice.....Looked old and worn out. It reminded me of the neighborhoods in The Deer Hunter to a T.
I am guessing the 70's?

Rittenhouse Square is a fantastic area of Philly. Its like a small version of Manhattan Upper East Side and Soho. I am guessing you werent there. Some of the best restaurants ever.

Pittsburgh is as good a town to raise a family as anywhere in America. Great suburbs, nice city, the downtown isnt run down at all - 5 colleges, banking and tech, decent arts, and sports. The bridges and the point and the overlook. Really top notch.

We have 3% unemployment. Tell me about your shithole, Boomer shitbird?
NW Arkansasss, it's such an asshole place it has three s's...I hate Arkanslaw, but god damn there has been no unemployment since 1993. You can work eight days a week self employed, and never get caught up; there is so much work here, it's a frenzy...
It's Wal-Mart land, and it even has Wal-Mart convenience stores where the prices are the same as in the super stores...

I have a family of four and have spent thousands less this year on the same stuff as last year.

Nah, mid-80s or so is when DuPont shut the Philly plant down.....I was there about six months tearing -down and crating equipment, paint, and such to ship to my plant if it was any count.

LOL....We were moving away from the lacquer and house paint businesses and I bet I sent a dozen or better trailers of paint to my plant where they just gave it away.

I bet every barn in three counties has some of that paint on it. Same with towns as they took a lot of it too.

Texas has a Mount Shasta 14 348 ft . Or a Half Dome or a Catalina Island or Mount Shasta Ski Park or Lake Tahoe or McCloud River or Upper Sac fly fishing or Lake Shasta or Whiskeytown Lake or Mammoth Mountain or the Redwoods Curtain or Trinidad & Eureka or Burney Falls …

Well, texas has big bend national park, beaches of Padre island, music scene of austin, the Alamo, Houston space center, Palo duro canyon, natural bridge caverns. Not every state has the same amenities, but each have their own amenities that make them worthwhile.

Um, your link references the one in a hundred year storm in 2021, then makes crazy claims with no data.

When was the last blackout citygator? Not some local weather event, a problem with the grid.

Any weakness in the system is due to over reliance on wind and sun, Texas is #1 in the country on wind and solar.

I can’t tell from your post if you agree the grid sucks. It fails every year. They are having issues this summer. 2021 was a monumental disaster and the canary in the coal mine.

Your note seems to say ‘Texas doesn’t have any issues but if they do it’s liberal ideas’. You are a one trick pony. The original article was about magats running from Texas and saying the recent hype that moved them there is total bullshit. Read it.
