Movies that Make you Feel Happy?

We all have the blues. What are some movies that make you feel happy inside? Say it's been a bad day and you need a happy movies to brighten your spirits, what movie do you watch?

Here is my list of moves that seem to make me feel happy and brighten my mood:

That was my favorite movie several years ago.

I've probably seen it 50 times.

The Wizard of Oz

I remember The Wizard of Oz was played on TV the same time every year around a holiday, but I can't remember which one.

2001 a space odyssey. It makes me happy because I know I'll never have to watch it again.

Some of my favorite go to movies that have strong story lines, sympathetic relatable characters, and leave me feeling good, calmed, satisfied. They all have their serious side but satisfying resolutions to the problems and good endings:

"Chocolat"
"Second Hand Lions"
"Renaissance Man"
"You've Got Mail"
"Top Gun: Maverick"
"Open Range"
"The Help" (Almost didn't include this one because not everybody would think it had a happy ending.)
"Father Goose"
"Erin Brockovich"
"Down Periscope" (Okay this one is a pure comedy with pretty much no serious side, but it does have you cheering at the end.)

Those are off the top of my head. Given time to think about it I might revise or add to that list.

Interesting. That is one of my favorite westerns. Another favorite western that literally does make me happy to watch is the original True Grit with Kim Darby, Glen Campbell, and John Wayne.
