Your Top 100 Favorite Films?

Checking out the film's description I can't remember treating the kids to that one. Have seen the 1951 film Rhubarb in which a cat inherits a baseball team.

That brings to mind The Deer Hunter which caused that depressed reaction with me.
“The Bridges of Toko Ri “ really impacted me as a kid as did the original Robert Wise Horror Classic “ The Haunting “

My dad (b. 1920) once mentioned to me one stunt movie theaters would use to attract audiences when he was a kid. For a supposedly scary movie, they'd have an ambulance sitting out front of the theater to care for any customer that fainted.

Little Big League is awesome stuff. If you don't know what it is about, it concerns a kid who inherits the Minnesota Twins team.

God bless you always!!!

Wow, that's quite a list! My all-time favorite film is probably Blade Runner (1982) with Harrison Ford. I would rank the first Alien movie (1979) with Sigourney Weaver next and the sequel, Aliens (1986) third. For comedies my favorite films are Young Frankenstein and Monty Python And The Holy Grail. I also really like The Blues Brothers.

Wow, our tastes are very similar. My top 100 favorite movie list is actually pretty identical to the OP, except switch #26 with #89, swap #51 and #52, and switch #19 with #27 except on Tuesdays, when #19 would have to switch with #64. :smoke:

I don't have 100 favorites of anything. My list is shorter. I haven't yet watched much of Akira Kurosawa or Studio Ghibli, so more of them may be on my list later.

Chicks, Man
Catch 22

Death Race 2000

Yeah, I always wonder what criteria differentiates the 80th place (insert whatever your categorizing here) ______________ from the 79th place. Beyond 10 or 15 there isn't much difference.

As for my top movies (what comes to mind immediately)

Crash
Heat (Pacino)
Magnificent Seven (McQueen)
Walk Don't Run
North By Northwest
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
Road to Perdition
Casablanca

Maybe some of the Star Wars trilogy would be on my list if I could get the original versions, and if George Lucas hadn't wrecked the whole franchise, and then sold it to Disney. I watched a later version, once. I made an attempt to edit it back to the original, but I don't have the software to do a complete job.

not enough time to list my 100 but the REAL footllose movie with kevin bacon would be number one and then star wars a new hope second and empire strikes back third then to round out my top five terminater 2 and then the first terminater .

Im surprised you have Rocky as low as you do,it should me ranked MUCH higher, its for sure in my top 10.
