The unembodied spirits who have not yet come to earth to receive a body are still in image of God the same as mankind on this earth. Mankind on this earth is also made in the image of God. Upon death, the spirits of mankind live on as spirits just the same as they were before coming to earth and receiving a body until they resurrect. Upon resurrection the spirits of mankind are again with physical bodies that are immortal. Not exactly sure what you are referring to in your post. Quote the scripture so I can better understand where you are coming from.

Michael lived as a disembodied spirit before being born on the earth as Adam. Adam lived 930 years and died. HIs spirit lived on but wasn't resurrect until after Jesus, who was the first to resurrect. Michael was a leader in the war in heaven according to Revelation 12:7-11. Other appearances of Michael after he had come to earth as Adam and then died was the same spirit that inhabited the body of Adam on this earth. I believe that he now has resurrected and is Michael the archangel who does play a major role in the plan of God for this earth.

What did spirit Adam do until Jesus resurrected him? Did Adam turn back into Michael after Adam died? Show me the scripture that says Adam was Michael before he was Adam.

Who was Abraham before he was Abraham? And who became David? Who were you before you were born? Who was Hitler before he became Hitler? Who was Mary? Was she a male or female angel before she became Mary? And when we are resurrected, where is human Adam? Did Michael resume his duties as arch angel after he died as Adam, and where is Adam's spirit if he was really Michael? If you are correct, then Adam didn't really exist. Michael stepped in to be Adam for awhile.

I should be able to answer all of those questions with scripture, and can't.

The vision you mention below speaks of an angel that appeared to Daniel in vision and tells us that he, as an angel is under Michael, who is busy doing the will of the Lord in this world. Michael is the name of Adam's spirit. Imagine that a single being can have more than one name without being two separate beings. When Adam died, his spirit left his dead body and returned to doing the work of the Lord that spirit being do. Michael is a great leader in God's kingdom. He led us all in the great war in heaven before any of us ever came to this earth. When it was time for us to inhabit the earth, he was the first to come and was called Adam. Upon his death, he returned to doing the will of God as a spirit as your mentioned vision of Daniel 10-12 speaks of. God's angels minister upon this earth and are messengers of God.

And the Lord appeared unto them, and they rose up and blessed Adam, and called him Michael, the prince, the archangel.

And also with Michael, or Adam, the father of all, the prince of all, the ancient of days;

We don't have all the names of the premortal spirits who came to this earth. But it was revealed to Joseph Smith that Adam is Michael the archangel aka the ancient of days and that Gabriel is Noah. When we come to this earth to learn to walk by faith, a veil is placed over our minds so that we cannot remember our pre-mortal existence. However, through prophets, it has been revealed that Jesus was actually the God of the Old Testament, aka Jehovah or The Great I AM and that Adam is Michael and Noah is the angel Gabriel. Upon resurrection of us all we will again inhabit bodies of flesh and bones but they will be immortal to never die again. Adam is Michael. They are the same immortal spirit. While Adam was on the earth he was named Adam but his spirit is the same spirit that was named Michael in the pre-mortal existence. Adam is Michael! They are the same being. There are not two separate spirits. Just as you can have a first name and a middle name and still be the same being, Michael is Adam..

It depends on what you consider to be scripture. I don't believe that only the bible is scripture. In my church, we believe the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price to be scripture. We do not believe in a closed canon but believe that God continues to reveal scripture through his servants the prophets. In our entire canon of scripture there is evidence that angels are mankind and consist of pre-mortal spirits, mankind on the earth, post-mortal spirits that have not yet been resurrected, and spirits who have been resurrected. We believe that only the spirits who belong to this earth minister to this earth and will receive their mortal bodies on this earth.

As I mentioned in my previous post, when the spirits of mankind come to this earth and take on a mortal body, a veil is placed over our minds and we cannot remember our pre-mortal existence. This is so to have us learn to walk by faith. I don't recall the name by which I was called before I was born. We believe that gender is consistent from pre-mortality to this life and beyond. When we die, our spirits continue to live on until the day of our resurrection. At that point we will again receive our bodies of flesh and bones but they will be immortal. Not exactly sure what you mean by "why was Abraham's bosom a necessity?". Are you referring to Luke 16 where Abraham's bosom is mentioned in verse 22? Please explain what this has to do with the topic we are discussing.
