Movie's Based on True Story

Based upon the true story that Operation Overlord happened....Everything else is pretty much Disney with blood and guts.
Uhmm..the army did send a guy to call the 3rd brother back before the whole bloodline got wiped out.
:dunno:
More than 1 time back then. Things like that did happen.

40000 Horsemen. 1940 I know the Director's Grandson. Unassuming fellow and a damn good bloke.

OK; a bit of fun. Croc Dundee.

Rodney William Ansell (1 October 1954 – 3 August 1999) was an Australian cattle grazier and a buffalo hunter. Described to be from "the bush", Ansell became famous in 1977 after he was stranded in extremely remote country in the Northern Territory, and the story of his survival for 56 days with limited supplies became news headlines around the world. Consequently, he served as the inspiration for Paul Hogan's character in the 1986 film Crocodile Dundee. In 1999, he was killed in a shootout by policemen of the Northern Territory Police.

(I met Rod in the late 80s in Darwin. He was a modest quiet chap very unlike the "embellished" character of CD. Unfortunately he went mad and the police shot him.)

I've heard from reliable sources (my mother) that the JFK womanising stuff was "fake news"........or lies as she called them. Evidently he no could shag with his bad back. Might be true.

I doubt that.

Didn't that kid die out there?
Yes he ate potato flowers or something at the wrong time of year and it poisoned him... it blocked his body from absorbing nutrients and he starved to death... if you have not read the book you really should he was an amazing kid...
