Movies about certain decades seem a bit undefined...

When there's a movie or a TV show about the turn of the century, the roaring 20's, the 30's, the 40's, the 50's, the 60's, the 70's and the 80's I can instantly tell by the cars, the hairstyles, the clothes, the music which decade they're portraying.

But after that, it seems undefined to me.

A movie or TV show portraying the 90's, the 00's, the 10's and today do not seem different enough to me to tell the difference.

Is it because of my age that I can't tell these decades apart?

Or have things just not changed that much?
