More Uh Oh Astros Sign Stealing News

So you have corked bats, multiple players dying in their 30's, steroid use, and now sign stealing..... And amazingly, I left out Roger Clemens who is one of the most notorious cheats of all.

My premise was this:

"The Asterisks have a documented history of suspicious behavior going back decades. Corked bats, steroids, untimely deaths of current and former Astros.... sign stealing is small beer."

Well, what I believe has the added benefit of being the truth. Yours? Not so much.

The Astros have a long history of suspect behavior. Ever since John McMullen sold the team, the McLanes and now the Cranes have ushered in this sad "if you ain't cheating, you ain't trying hard enough" philosophy. McMullen was a terrible owner in some respects but in other areas, he let the baseball people run the team. We had great people who were good baseball players (Puhl, Reynolds, Cruz, Cedeno, Cabell, Forsch, Richards, Dave Smith, etc...). Now they have great players who have questionable ethics.

That scheme worked out fantastically for the New England Patriots of the NFL.
