The Lowell Spinners are due to return after 6 six years! A local minor league team for many years, the Spinners will be back at LeLacheur Field this Friday. A local, accessible, affordable and family friendly place to take in a game, it was a shame when MLB shut it down as part of a reduction in minor league teams some years ago. Although it will return as an even more minor, minor league team it will still be great place for an outing with kids and families without the expense of Fenway or the long-ish drive to Worcester. Anyone planning a trip to the Boston area should consider taking in a game.
