Dog breed bans do nothing to address the problem of irresponsible owners. Most pitbulls are perfectly nice and ANY dog will bite under the right circumstances. Most people can't even identify a pitbull anyway.

Those began 30 yrs ago and were recinded. Now dogs and communities are being rehabilitated and embracing the breed again.
My grandkids since they were babies have been growing up with a blue nose pit. She used to share their bed since the youngest was out of a crib. More often than not she was used as a pillow.
Only things she did not like was noisy Chihuahuas that got up in her face while going for her walk.
