They banned Pete Rose from the baseball HOF for gambling? What if they banned musicians from the Rock&Roll HOF for drug use? It would be one big empty hall.

How much of their drug activity is connected to whatever music is released from them? Pete was betting on the baseball games which I guess is against whatever the Baseball Hall Of Fame stands for. If the rules and restrictions can't be respected, don't expect any form of considerateness in return then.

Pete SHOULD NOT have ever gambled anything on baseball.

Baseball is now sponsored heavily by sports book entities. So, at this point, absent a shred of evidence that he ever lifted a finger to lose a game or even to shaVE a score, it is absurd that a player with his storied history in baseball be excluded from the HOF.

Side issue....With gambling interests being prominent sponsorship of all sports now, there's nothing in the way of suspecting games of being rigged...Every bad call can now be subject to accusations.....I'd hate to be an official today.

The temptation of huge paydays is too great....It's only a matter of time before there's a major cheating scandal.

I recall when Lawrence Taylor's admission to the Pro Football HOF was at issue at time of his eligibility. I was hoping he'd get in, only because of the notoriety that Pete Rose received back then for being excluded. I felt it often overshadowed those who were recipients of induction. I did not want to hear about Lawence Taylor's exclusion year-after-year. Shoeless Joe Jackson was another one that books and movies centered on due to fame in good part on his being banned from baseball.

Casinos didn’t fix the draft order, the NBA does it.

DAL 1.6% chance of 14 teams got the top pick (bottom 3). Everyone wanted the “next Larry Bird”.
