Minneapolis Third Precinct police station set on fire after rioters break in
29 May 2020 ~~ By Dom Calicchio
The Third Precinct police station in Minneapolis was set ablaze Thursday night as violent protests continued in the city -- and other cities across the U.S. -- following Monday's death of George Floyd, a black man who died while in police custody.
More than 500 members of the National Guard were heading to the Twin Cities region, called in by Gov. Tim Walz, the Star Tribune of Minneapolis reported.
Rioters broke into the precinct around 10 p.m. local time, after police on the rooftop previously tried to disperse a gathering crowd using "flash bang" shots and tear gas, according to reports.
The rioters entered the building and sparked the fire after police officers on the roof were rescued by helicopter, reports said.
Comment:
The people burning property and looting are just as guilty as the police officers. Peaceful protests are a justifiable form of your First Amendment rights,. Rioting, looting and burning down the town or city is NOT a Right.
It's one thing to protest even when armed and no people or property disturbed. The people rioting causing destruction to people and property as in St. Paul should receive the justice that looters in all countries deserve. Shooting!! Where are the police? Now they don't have a precinct to go to.
I understand that the Progressive Socialist Mayor of St. Paul made a public statement claiming the cops murdered George Floyd and he thanked the protestors for their rioting and destroying the city last night. What a piece of work.
I hope no one was injured or killed in this latest rioting and destruction.
As of 29 May 2020 the St. Paul Chief of Police has issued this Announcement to the Citizens:
Due to rioting the new Police precinct has been moved 10 miles away. Our new response time to crime will be the following. Please note these will be best time responses depending on how quickly we can get the Chief out from under his desk. Presently due to the high call volume of the rioting expect new waiting times to be days
In the meantime it's KMACYOYO
