Millions will have to repay part of federal tax credit

I have full trust that our dear President Obama is going to do what is right by us... Have no fear. The Democrats are in charge.

Everything you need to know about the descent of the conservative movement into a hypocritical caricature is illustrated by two of its proudest constituencies: Republican deficit hawks and so-called "born again virgins." Having already violated the moral strictures they claim to hold dearest, each now asks the American people to join them in pretending their sin never happened. But unlike a generation of Republican leaders who built a mountain of national debt for the United States, the secondary virgins only screwed themselves.

The Republicans' shameless cynicism was perfectly captured by Vice President Dick Cheney, who in 2002 proclaimed, "Reagan proved deficits don't matter."

Not, that is, if a Republican is in the White House. But when Barack Obama stepped into the Oval Office and the $1.2 trillion deficit George W. Bush left for him there, the GOP quickly changed its tune. While the national debt tripled under Ronald Reagan and doubled again under President Bush, House Minority Leader John Boehner in February decried the $787 billion emergency economic recovery spending as "one big down payment on a new American socialist experiment." By June, Boehner warned of the "crushing debt Washington Democrats are running up." And Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH), Obama's aborted choice for Commerce Secretary, slapped the President last month, "we're basically on the path to a banana-republic-type of financial situation in this country." And, Gregg added:

"You can't keep throwing debt on top of debt."

Of course, throwing debt on top of debt is precisely what Gregg and his GOP allies have done for over a generation.hHuff/post

I completely agree with what you say except you left out that part where Obama has already spent more money then all of the other American Presidents combined ever spent. How could you forget such an important fact when you remembered all of the other facts so well? You don't have one of those Democratic bias things going for ya do you?

Isn't is wonderful of the Obama administration to throw out their "Boubles/Trinquets" to get you on their side only to find out that you had better have kept them polished because you have to give them back?

NeverMIND that this money belongs to the PEOPLE?

When are these asswipes gonna admit it? I see a HUGE TAX Revolt in the wings coming...

Did Reagen or Bush see 10+% unemployment and an additional multi trillion dollar impending deficit on top of it?

Did Reagen or Bush see 10+% unemployment and an additional multi trillion dollar impending deficit on top of it?

No but your dear President Obama said his great stimulus package would keep the unemployment rate under 9%... Guess he was either lying or somehow this too was Bush's fault. Tell me, in lieu of the fact that Obama is intent on spending money like they are going to quit making it next week, how is spending all of this money going to solve any of these problems? The only thing we are doing is handing over this country to China a little more each day because of all of the money we owe them. I have a novel idea for Obama and crew. When my family gets low on money we stay home and watch tv and don't buy anything. Why can't Obama try this out for a while and see how it goes...

They aren't Democrats. They're Statist/Marxists with an improper label.

Heck these people toggle on the fringe of Communism. These are the same folks that lived in Communes and protested the Viet Nam War, and FLED to Canada.

These are the people that are in charge now. Now sing after me...

Kumbaya my LORD....

Is he? To clarify, you're saying that Obama is doing the same stuff Bush did? Well so much for that CHANGE bullshit huh? You just slammed your own hero.

And I want to thank you for taking the time to point out that he hasn't changed anything for the better.

I guess there wasn't much for the left to say here...it got VERY little reaction. I guess the truth is hard to face sometimes.
