Has the former GOP's concern for deficits completely evaporated?

It is both disappointing and disturbing that you folks can not address the topics presented to you. Deflection has become an irreplaceable crutch for trumples.
It's not a deflection moron. You are whining about tax cuts for hard working people and the solution to lost revenue is to cut government spending. By the way I never voted for Trump and don't plan on doing it this time. I refuse to chose between the lesser of two evils. Trump spends like a drunken Democrat and Harris is a gibbering idiot of a liberal.

We are in a freaking deficit but we get nothing for it except inflation. Why is the deficit a concern only in republican administrations?
Why do Republicans only care about the deficit when a Dem is in the White House?

Been that way for decades

I guess the GOP figures if they try to cut spending, democrats yell that they're trying to kill off Grandma so why give a fuck about it? If you're not going to cut spending, you have to raise taxes and republicans hate taxes. Democrats love them, the problem is they call it a way to reduce the deficit but as soon as they increase taxes, they just spend more.

The two parties are deadlocked in a no-win game.

Been that way for decades.

The point of the OP is to focus attention on trump's promises to cut taxes based on the idiotic belief the consequent tax revenue shortfall will be made up for by tariffs. It's lunacy yet he keeps doubling down on it.
Meaning the lynchpin of his economic strategy is, to coin a phrase, voodoo economics.

Massive deficits and SS insolvency. Sounds awesome. Start stockpiling beef jerky, water, and gold.
Trump and his flock made it clear that deficits don't matter if he's in office. He made Keynes look like an amateur in his first term, and will do the same in his second.

If the GQP had any balls, they would run on cutting spending FIRST, BEFORE lowering taxes. Show us what they'd cut, and by how much. Then we vote.

But of course, the GQP has no balls.

Trump tax plans could exempt 93 million Americans from income taxes

Former President Donald Trump’s tax reform ideas could offer total or partial income tax exemptions to roughly 93.2 million Americans, a meaningful chunk of the U.S. electorate, according to CNBC’s analysis of several estimates.

As part of his economic pitch to voters, Trump has floated a sweeping tax overhaul, including a slate of income tax breaks.

So far, the Republican presidential nominee has officially proposed eliminating income tax on tips and Social Security benefits, along with overtime pay. And last week, in an interview on the sports media site OutKick, Trump said he would consider tax exemptions for firefighters, police officers, military personnel and veterans.

Trump has said he would replace the lost tax revenue with revenue from tariffs, but tax experts say tariffs would not offset the tax losses.

Trump plan would make Social Security insolvent in just 6 years, budget group says

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign plans would significantly accelerate the already-fast-approaching date when Social Security is projected to run out of money, a nonpartisan budget group said Monday.

Trump’s agenda would make the popular government program, relied upon by millions of American seniors, insolvent in six years — shrinking the current timeline by a third, the group found.

The Republican nominee’s proposals would also expand Social Security’s cash shortfall by trillions of dollars and lead to even steeper benefit cuts in the coming years, said US Budget Watch 2024, a project of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.

It is called 'politics' and both sides do it. You make promises you can't keep to get elected then blame the other party for obstruction when you get elected. But don't blame the politicians, we the people want free lunch and will vote for anyone who promises it. One example, we want honest politicians not to be in anyone's pocket but we don't pay for campaigns nor do we pay them an appropriate salary for their position.

Indeed, the GOP lost any interest in fiscal conservatism in 1998, after Faux News helped bring in Clinton/LBJ loving "pro Israel Chrstians" and flushed out the libertarian conservatives. The Zionist 911 W "Biden Republicans" are completely unconcerned with America's debt, since they have no concern for America, just Israel. The Pro Israel Christians are not at all fiscally conservative, because to be fiscally conservative requires UNDERSTANDING BASIC FUCKING MATH, and THAT IS WAY BEYOND THEIR INTELLECT.

I don't have any sympathy for a party who openly admits they want to spend 50 trillion dollars to fight the weather, on top of the 35 trillion we already owe. I don't see Trump saying he will do that.

"Deficits don't matter"
Kammala supporter, Dick Cheney.
And who defended him after he said that?
Yeah. The same group of people planning to vote for Trump

Yup
