TRUE: Mike Pence advocated for 'conversion therapy'
During his first successful run for Congress in 2000, Pence wrote on his campaign website, under a section called Strengthening the American Family:
"Resources should be directed toward those institutions which provide assistance to those seeking to change their sexual behavior."
---------------------
Currently gay conversion therapy is banned in five states including California, Oregon, Illinois, Vermont and New Jersey.
In the past, Pence has claimed that gay couples signal “societal collapse;” opposed a law that would prohibit discrimination against LGBT people in the workplace; opposed the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell; Gay conversion therapy is child abuse. While Pence’s anti-gay bigotry is deplorable, it is right in line with the overt anti-gay bigotry of the Republican party in 2016.

Conversion therapy is considered by many to be child abuse. Republicans support child abuse.
When Mitt Romney was running and I brought up the FACT that one of his advisors was chased out of the party, USMB Republicans insisted I was wrong. That the party is no longer anti gay. That it was a myth perpetrated to discredit the GOP.
Yea, sure it was.
