Idlib caliphate rebels wage an offensive against Syrian army

Israel continues to destroy SAA stuff. The operation has an own name.

"The IDF announced on Tuesday evening that it has struck 320 “strategic targets” in Syria since the fall of the Assad regime over the weekend. The operation is meant to destroy much of Syria's arsenal to prevent it from falling into the hands of Islamist and terrorist forces.

Over 350 fighter jets took part in the operation, which has been given the name "Bashan Arrow." As much as 70-80 percent of the Assad regime's military capabilities have been destroyed.

The IDF attacked 320 targets from Damascus to Tartus, including advanced tanks, aircraft, helicopters, air defense systems, missile ships, rockets, weapons production sites, weapons depots, Scud missiles, cruise missiles, coastal missiles, drones, and more.

Activities in Syria are still continuing on the ground, with IDF ground forces operating in the buffer zone along the Golan Heights."

Since my regime television is nonstop about Assad´s alleged cruelty, underground torture cells,150K political prisoners ect, it is important to report that the so called "White Helmets" searched the Sednaya prison and didn´t find anything.

"The "Syrian Civil Defense" "White Helmets" announced at dawn on Tuesday, the end of the search for possible detainees in #صيدنايا prison in Damascus countryside, without finding any secret undiscovered cells.

The Civil Defense said in a statement that its specialized teams searched all sections and facilities of the prison, in its basements, courtyards and outside its buildings, with the presence of people who were escorted and have full knowledge of the prison and its details, and did not find any evidence confirming the existence of secret cellars or undiscovered basements.

He pointed out that there are thousands of detainees who are still missing, and their families have not been able to access any information revealing their fate, calling on the competent international institutions to work on this and support transitional justice efforts."

5 facts about Syria’s Islamist rebel group HTS and its leader Abu Mohammad al-Jolani

Nearly five times more 🇷🇺 Muscovites died fighting in the Syrian civil war than officially acknowledged, according to a new analysis.

🇷🇺 ivan, what do you think ?

Looks like everyone wants to be responsible for Assad´s ousting.
Here are your heroic achievements:

"The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) for Syria said on Tuesday that there are "food shortages" in cities such as Damascus, after the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad's regime last Sunday, and stated that the price of bread has risen in some cities by up to 900%.

"Food shortages have been reported in major cities, such as Deir al-Zur, Damascus and Hama. The price of bread in Idlib and Aleppo alone has increased by 900% between November 27 and December 9," the office said in a daily report.

He noted that hostilities "continue to affect many parts of Syria since the fall of the Assad government on December 8. To date, some 100,000 people have been displaced to north-east Syria."

He also noted that since yesterday, "some looting of aid warehouses, including those of UN agencies and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, has been reported, but these are yet to be confirmed."

The United Nations estimates that 16 million Syrians are currently in need of humanitarian aid and urges the international community to increase funding for cooperation to "open new shelter, sanitation and food facilities".

Since the popular uprisings of 2011, which led to a civil war, more than 14 million Syrians have been forced to leave their homes, half of them inside Syria, in what represents the largest crisis of displaced people on the planet, according to the UN, which estimates that 70% of these people are in need of humanitarian aid and 90% live below the poverty line."

Humanitarian Affairs

Who is to blame for the fall of Assad in Syria?
I think it is largely Russia. Russia is to blame for this disaster. It sold out Syria for better relations with Turkey when they imposed the phony peace in northern Syria. Turkey used the time to replenish terrorist forces.
Second, Assad is also responsible, but his choices were limited. But he should have insisted on destroying the Idlib terrorist hideout. He had to believe that Russia´s diplomacy would work but it did not.
The Iranian provided forces, recruited among sunni Muslims, probably cooperated with the "rebels". This would explain the rapid collapse of the defense. Also, large parts of the Syrian army went to Iraq. All this without the knowledge of the Syrian government, that was so certain of victory (it normally would defeat any number of terrorists) that Assad rejected the deployment of Iranian forces.
It was Russia, though, that convinced Assad that he losing and made him leave the country.
