Microsoft sues U.S. government over data requests
Basically the govt wants to look at all your shit without you knowing about it being possible and also gagging the companies from saying anything about it.....For your protection.
They made the same arguement with AT&T back in the day and said "We want to look at all your stuff. Do you have kids? Well, we want to protect you and them so give us what we want"
And the emotional argument using Terrorism never stopped
Lets also remember just a few months ago the Govt wanted Apple to create software to crack all phones instead of just cracking the one they were interested in....for your protection. People cried about how Apple should help them out...then when Apple didnt play ball guess what happened?
They cracked the phones security themselves right after that. Purely Coincidental....and to prevent you from getting hurt by evil terrorists!
