How easy it will be for you to vote for Trump; after you first cried about his win.

Joe, you claim that because of your failures.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the one who blew up the housing market and my condo was worth half of what I paid for it.

Nor am I the one who wrecked the economy so bad that unemployment shot up to 10%.

Of course, I am better off that some kid who died in Iraq over Bush's lies, or drowned in NOLA because of his gross fucking incompetence.

What happened that you quit paying for your condo? How can you blame Bush when you should blame Congress, namely the Democrats there?

We might talk honestly about Iraq since I know the entire story.

I didn't stop paying for my Condo, but I was effectively locked into it because I would have ended up owing the bank money if I sold it for what they were going for. Underwater mortgages, thanks to Bush and his mismanagement of the economy. In the long run, I lucked out in that the prices eventually recovered and an investment company deconverted the Condos into apartments.

No, I blame Bush. the laws were adequate if they were enforced. But Bush put Chris Cox in charge of the SEC.

The ex-SEC chief's blindness to repeated allegations of fraud in the Madoff scandal is mind-blowing, but it's really his lax enforcement that lands him on this list. Cox says his agency lacked authority to limit the massive leveraging that set up last year's financial collapse. In truth, the SEC had plenty of power to go after big investment banks like Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch for better disclosure, but it chose not to. Cox oversaw the dwindling SEC staff and a sharp drop in action against some traders.

From the start, Bush embraced a governing philosophy of deregulation. That trickled down to federal oversight agencies, which in turn eased off on banks and mortgage brokers. Bush did push early on for tighter controls over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but he failed to move Congress. After the Enron scandal, Bush backed and signed the aggressively regulatory Sarbanes-Oxley Act. But SEC head William Donaldson tried to boost regulation of mutual and hedge funds, he was blocked by Bush's advisers at the White House as well as other powerful Republicans and quit. Plus, let's face it, the meltdown happened on Bush's watch.

There's no "entire story" that makes Iraq look good. They lied about him having WMDs, and Bush and Cheney KNEW they were lying. There was ZERO reason to go into Iraq, and in fact, going into Iraq has made matters much, much worse (created ISIS, empowered Iran to dominate the region.)

Iraq is a Iranian Client state today. Good work, everyone.

I saw that happening to people. Even my oldest daughter had seen her home I helped her buy fall in price. But never to the price she and her husband paid for it. I urged them to hang on and gave them forty thousand to pay debts. When their son graduated college, he purchased the home and put a ton of money into the home he grew up in. I am very familiar with the markets in the SF Bay Area and a lot of the fall depended on where you lived. Condos are beginner homes. They have some advantages and I have sold many to clients.
But you are so wrong to blame president Bush. As I have stated a number of times, that happens to be my field of expertise. I will confess to this as well. I blamed Carter when the market collapsed. I bet you don't blame him. But in fact Carter did not cause the collapse. I had only sold real estate for a living when he was president. I later got licensed to appraise property and that job put me in the position of telling banks or lenders what the values were along with telling them a bit of the future. Then after that, when Bush was president, I was also the owner of a Mortgage firm with two offices. There I got a lot more information on what you are talking about. Bush went to congress many times pleading with them to make changes and they gave him the message that he was wrong and they were right. Then the crap hit the fan. You made a huge mistake changing parties.

Actually, it sounds like a weak woman who has been beaten down.

When Trump wrecks the economy, which he almost certainly will, she'll be crying again.
A lot of Americans feel real beat down after the past four years of Xiden and Harris. That I do agree with

You realize that cutting government will increase unemployment, right?
So that means we kept hiring people for government work to offset the malaise in other fields of work. Supposedly there is a lot of repetitive employment in government now. Look at around D.C. in the suburbs. What a disgrace.

No, I blame Bush. the laws were adequate if they were enforced.
Again, not that you will listen, Bush did not cause the market problems. Bush wanted Congress to change laws. Even many Democrats blame Bush for the stopping the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Will you look it up. Clinton and not Bush killed it off. I once had plenty of evidence what took place. It was called hundreds of FAX sheets of actual prices we were to set clients up with. It was papers from Lehman and their spin offs. It was from the best sources of the money we did the paperwork for so clients bought homes or refinanced them. You would be wise to pay attention to my comments as I am the expert and you are not.

Look, were it Bush at fault, I would join you as well. But Bush was not able to control the financial markets. Even Biden can't do that. Trump won't either.

Actually, it sounds like a weak woman who has been beaten down.
The Woman was a long term Democrat and yes they beat her down. She is not weak at all. She now won't vote for Democrats. Were you thinking a lot, you would quit them too. Did they do you a lot of good under Biden? Are you happy with the huge inflation under Biden? Are you pleased the border became made of tissue paper?

Guy, you remind me of Upton Sinclair's admonition that you can't get someone to understand a problem if his paycheck was dependent on him not understanding it. Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton didn't cause this problem. Bush did by refusing to use the regulatory agencies to reign in the banks. The banks and realtors were part of the problem in selling houses to people who had no business owning houses.

Bush was a fucking idiot. I mean, he's a Rhodes Scholar compared to Trump. But he was really an idiot.

No, guy you were part of the problem. The problem with Capitalism is Captialists... they're too damned greedy.

Bush let the banks and realtors run wild because gains in housing made up for his losses in Manufacturing. It was a fake economy, and when it collapsed, it collapsed hard.

Bush definitely is not an idiot. And the man accomplished a lot more than you or me ever has. You remind me of you who has wrong ideas and loves keeping them in his wallet.
Have you ever been a Realtor? I was one for decades. In fact I also became a director of the California Association of Realtors. The board president asked me to do that job. I spent 3 years on that board of directors since my term was for 3 years. Jimmy Carter caused dhis own failed administration to not keep him as president. But not due to the failure of the markets when he was president. I admitted i blamed him when all i had been was a Broker who owned a real estate brokerage firm. In my time, I was the CEO of Granada Realty and later under my last name the last firm I owned.

All I know about you is you were a supply sgt at one point. Maybe you were a Spec 4.

We were vital in the market place. Few of the public who were not educated as we were are willing to handle their own sales or loans. Even you prove you can't do it either.

Look, you are I are at an end about Bush because you have not studied this at all.

Apparently you never read Bush's explanation of what happened. I posted it hoping you would want more education. Does not seem a person can educate you one bit.

Have you ever tried to get more education from the Small business administration where Government educates people?

What you call greed is a misunderstanding about free markets.

If you want to be in business, will you become greedy?

No, guy you were part of the problem.
Explain that to the forum and me too.

What is your occupation? What if you got told you are part of the problem JoeB131?

Bush definitely is not an idiot. And the man accomplished a lot more than you or me ever has. You remind me of you who has wrong ideas and loves keeping them in his wallet.

yes, Bush accomplished a lot, but most of it was bad. War, Recession, losing a major city.... the man was the worst president of my lifetime, until Trump came along.

The difference was I knew Trump was going to fuck things up, and did all my planning accordingly.

Have you ever been a Realtor?
Nope. Still doesn't mean you guys weren't a large part of the problem.

All I know about you is you were a supply sgt at one point. Maybe you were a Spec 4.

Nope, I was an E-6. They offered me an E-7 position right before I got out, but I was completely done with the nonsense by then.

We were vital in the market place. Few of the public who were not educated as we were are willing to handle their own sales or loans. Even you prove you can't do it either.

I don't need to "study" what I lived through, which was a barely literate idiot who wrecked the economy and got hundreds of thousands of people killed unnecessarily.

Apparently you never read Bush's explanation of what happened. I posted it hoping you would want more education. Does not seem a person can educate you one bit.

I could care less about his sorry ass excuses. It wasn't like he was actually running the country, Cheney and the plutocrats were...

Explain that to the forum and me too.

None of your business.
I've already explained it to you. You guys looked at people with shit credit and sold them big old McMansions they couldn't really afford. Because everyone was convinced, they could hold the McMansion for a few years and flip it for a profit.

So every day in the late Oughts, I drove past a row of McMansions that they stopped building right in the middle of because they had no buyers in the post-crash market.

Realtors are licensed by their states. And they work hard if they manage to survive in that industry. I have seen firms vanish and go broke. Take the Real Estators who were a large office in fremont, CA that years back looked so prosperous they would last forever. They shut the doors on one day and collapsed. Realtors must work their asses off to care for their own obligations such as family. Property Professionals lasted a long time and then they vanished. Woodren Realty, huge when I was first a salesman went broke.
