I was pondering this unusual scenario today. These younger people are on youtube reacting to old songs and movies and they repeatedly state "ah man I wish I had been born in the 1980s" etc. You look at the most popular bands today and it is astounding how many of them aren't even actively playing music.

This generation doesn't have an identity. They have lost hope and have nothing to stand for. They can't even wrap themselves in a flag because they have been told it represents racism and colonialism. They see their nations erasing their own culture, discouraging men from being men.

You want to know why I am confident that China will win? Assess the situation with all of the factors being considered and it is clear the reason why.

Sure! they see those real concerts with music goers going crazy.. and they must realize there is just nothing like that today. There are no bands who can attract such crowds other than those few holdover bands still playing way beyond their prime.

While growing up we watched films from the 1950s and had to listen to the music from then and hear how it was the last of innocence in the US.
