In many cases of blatantly false information, this is deliberate and intentional using fake news attributed to well known news organizations. A slightly different URL, maybe the only difference is that the letter a or some other character is written in a different style. The scammer putting out the fake new--it can be a prank or deliberate intention to deceive--counts on poor typing and/or inattention to detail when it lures unsuspecting people to their websites.

This is why it is wise never to trust a single source for what you decide to believe or repeat as fact. If nobody else is corroborating the story it could very well be fake news.

The media is increasingly dishonest in their reporting both in what they refuse to report and what they do report.

I will start this thread using Molly Hemmingway's column exposing Kristen Welker's flat out false statements on her first stint as the new host of "Meet the Press" yesterday. She unfortunately (for her) chose Donald J. Trump as her guest and there isn't much that anybody can defend on her side of the debate. He came out looking pretty darn good.

There will be more examples of media dishonesty I hope posted by me and others. This thread is NOT about this one media account perse but all dishonesty by all the media. The American people deserve better.

NBC's Kristen Welker Lied About Democrats' Abortion Extremism

Nearly every single elected Democrat supports forcing states to allow unborn children to be killed throughout all nine months of pregnancy.

1. Welker stated there is no evidence Biden pressured the DOJ to indict Trump. Fact: there is a lot of evidence. Molly illustrates some of it.

2. Welker stated there is no evidence Joe Biden personally benefitted from Hunter's business dealings. Fact: there is a lot of evidence. Molly illustrates some of it.

3. Welker stated Trump wrestled with a Secret Service agent on J6. Fact: the Secret Service itself debunked that story. Molly reports what Trump said about it and is amazed that Welker would still be repeating the thoroughly debunked story..

4. Welker states Nancy Pelosi had nothing to do with preparing the Capital for protests on J6. Fact: The Speaker of the House has complete responsibility to provide for the security of the Capitol--the Chief of Police answers directly to her--and Pelosi refused requests from Capital Police for reinforcements. Molly points all that out.

5. Welker stated Democrats are not pushing for policy or law making abortion legal up to and even after the moment of natural birth. That is such a glaring lie that Molly spent some time recounting how Democrats have voted on that very issue.

How can the NBC news division hold their heads up with this kind of reporting?

How can ANY media not cower in shame when they report in this manner?

After years with highly partisan Chuck Todd, seems the folks at NBC are fully committed to flushing the Meet The Press brand down the toilet.

Which of course is why Welker's first program as host featured an interview with Donald Trump as that invariably greatly increases a program's ratings. (It also draws loud protests from the 'woke' left but they watch the program anyway.)

When she goes back to Trump/Patriot/GOP/conservative bashing the ratings will plummet again. It isn't that the 'woke' left disagrees with her but that their agenda, their schtick, is so boring. It's why Air America failed. Even most of the hardcore left is not entertained or even informed by the bile you see and hear from leftist media. I think deep down they instinctively know it's all crap but their programming won't allow them to admit it.

Interesting editorial in the Jewish Press today, recalling the Oslo Accord of 30 years ago when a brokered agreement between Israeli PM Rabin and Palestinian leader Arafat pledged to reach a peaceful solution to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. Arafat, not Rabin, received a Nobel Peace Prize for his role in that.

The media back then had already veered strongly left and gave Arafat glowing commendations for how wonderful he was. Rabin not so much. He was after all an Israeli even if a pro-Russia leftist one. Even back that far it wasn't cool to praise Israel for anything. As it turned out though, Rabin was willing and committed to do his part in the peace process. And Arafat has never intended anything other than the total destruction of Israel and that continued until his death in 2004. Did the media ever acknowledge that? Nope.

The media again will give Biden glowing praise for his current announced effort to broker peace between Israel and the Palestinians when he meets with Netanyahu. And they will report pretty much nothing about how the Palestinians will sabotage any such peace effort just as they did in 1993. And Netanyahu and Trump will probably get all the blame.
