It doesn't matter if someone demands respect from another, because if they do, respect is nothing they will actually get in return (compliance at best). Perhaps I overestimated your ability to be objective in regards to the issues you wanted to discuss, but it seems the best you can do is attempt to accuse me of something I never even suggested (reveling in the President's lack of a desire to acquiesce to your illogical demands). There is no way anything you have discussed could possibly come back to bite me in the ass, because I personally don't have much more than our conversation here invested in it (and you seem fairly ill equipped to mount an argument of any substance).

Instead, you really just come across as being bitter, and your desire to display behavior counter to the principles you attempt to represent, just goes further towards suggesting that respect for the late Senator (or chastising the President for not doing something false to appease his enemies) isn't really what you were looking for when you set out on this lengthy endeavor. That's what I posted and a fair example of why expecting someone to mouth the words instead of offering honest respect is worthless. If it's that important to you (since it crossed your mind to mention), there isn't a single politician in Washington DC that has earned my respect, but then again, it would be foolish for me to expect them to (or to believe they should be overly concerned about their inability to do so).
