March For Marriage Draws Tens, But Promises Ultimate Victory Over Obergefell

That is "tens" Not tens of thousands. TENS!! These people need to just give it up and get a life.

March For Marriage Draws Tens, But Promises Ultimate Victory Over Obergefell | Right Wing Watch

There has to be something really wrong with them!!The National Organization for Marriage has struggled in recent years to populate its annual anti-marriage-equality March for Marriage, with especially dismal turnout last year for the first march since the Supreme Court effectively made marriage equality the law of the land. But this year’s march reached a new low, as waning enthusiasm for the cause and what NOM president Brian Brown said were scheduling and permit troubles combined to produce a crowd of about 50.

And this is really absurd!! Comparing this to the fight for abolition!! To civil rights!!!!

Brown told the crowd not to be discouraged by their small numbers, comparing their cause to that of abolitionists in the 18th and early 19th century.

“We are on the side of truth,” he said. “We are on the side of true human rights, we are on the side of true civil rights

What I find interesting is that the LGBT people aren't satisfied with victory, they want to bury all who oppose them on this, put them on an enemies list and really make them pay.

Looking at the pictures of the few that attended and you feel sorry for these people. They had about five more people than the Trump inauguration, how humiliating.

Every state that voted on this voted AGAINST same sex marriage, so your side STOLE your victory, just like you STOLE victory with Roe v. Wade.

Kinda like a president that is given the victory through the Electoral College and not by popular vote..
The Constitution is set up that way, if you don't like it, ask for an Amendment.

But that's not the same as the Supreme Court consistently taking the liberal side of great social issues and refusing to allow the American people to have any input.

Abortion and same sex marriage is nowhere mentioned in the Constitution, so the Supreme Court exceeded its lawful authority in deciding on these issues.

You obviously have a piss poor understanding of Constitutional Law

Did they also take the liberal side in Citizens United??

Any luck getting rid of the PA law in your state?

Citizens United was a ruling based on the First Amendment, which is actually a part of the Constitution.

Abortion and same-sex marriage is not.

Not true:

Maryland, Maine, Washington approve gay marriage
Then why did your side cheat and steal the victory?

My state rejected same-sex marriage TWICE in two separate elections.

Why do our votes not count?
Cheat???'''

Justice Anthony Kennedy's majority opinion in the Supreme Court's same-sex marriage case is excellent. The last paragraph is exquisite. Take a look

Today's 5-4 decision in Obergefell v. Hodges will likely be studies by legal scholars for centuries. The crazed rantings of Justice Clarence Thomas and Justice Antonin Scalia notwithstanding, the decision is a fascinating read.

But it's Justice Anthony Kennedy's majority, and the last paragraph, all 124 words, that is exquisite.

"No union is more profound than marriage, for it embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice, and family. In forming a marital union, two people become something greater than once they were. As some of the petitioners in these cases demonstrate, marriage embodies a love that may endure even past death. It would misunderstand these men and women to say they disrespect the idea of marriage. Their plea is that they do respect it, respect it so deeply that they seek to find its fulfillment for themselves. Their hope is not to be condemned to live in loneliness, excluded from one of civilization’s oldest institutions. They ask for equal dignity in the eyes of the law. The Constitution grants them that right."

Here's an image of it – save it to your hard drive, take a picture of it, keep it handy. Always remember, #LoveWins.

Citizen United was an interpretation of the right to free speech . Roes was an interpretation of privacy rights. Obergefell was based on equal protection under the law. That what courts do. Interpret the law. Is it possible that you don't know that? Is it possible that you don't understand that there is much more to Constitutional Law than the enumerated rights?? It would appear to be the case.
