Man. Where evolution went tragically wrong.

"Purposeful" is strictly a human construct ... evolution only cares about reproduction ...
How can a 'purposeless' organism perform purposeful tasks? Seems like a disconnect.

Interesting. I always thought they were protected.

They are a terrible nuisance ... rip up a farm pond or levee in just a couple seasons ... an absolute menace to human agriculture ... without wolves, they quickly overpopulate ...

The natural balance can be found within the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone ... wolves eating beavers ... I'll post this link to the Nature documentary, "Radioactive Wolves" ... just keep in mind the producers glossed over some serious problems ... it's not as pink and rosy as Nature would want us to believe ... but the part about beavers reclaiming former agricultural lands is well documented ...

I remember 10 or 30 years ago they were saying how good beaver can be for a dried out environment. They build a pond and life flourishes. But yea, not on your property.

I love the guys who leave the damn alone but build another pipe the beaver can't fuck with that diverts the water when it gets to a certain point. Where my bro's property is, I saw one. There's a nature trail that goes back a couple/few miles. At the end is a pond and a little bridge and you walk over the beaver damn and the pipe that is protected by a steel gate the beaver can't get through.

Apparently you don't read the Bible ... wearing the skin of unclean animals is an abomination before the Lord ... fox, stoat, mink, rabbits and hares ... Leviticus Chap 11 ...

Do manmade fibers "parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud" ... or is this all dogma to you?
According to most Bible scholars those rules no longer apply.

You expect humans to live like apes and that is unreasonable
My point is that animals don't destroy their environment. God cursed man with having to work the land for survival, he didn't say lay waste to it.

Some animals that can harm the environment include:
  • Elephants: Can break branches, uproot bushes, and push down trees

  • Locusts: Swarms of locusts can cover hundreds of square miles and consist of billions of locusts

  • Common carp: Known for altering their environment

  • Bark beetles: Can destroy entire stands of forest

  • Feral swine: Consume large amounts of vegetation, destroy plants with their rooting, soil compaction, and wallowing behaviors

  • Invasive species: These species are not native to a new environment and can cause ecological or economic harm. Examples include cats, rats, mongoose, stoats, red foxes, green crab, killer algae, sea walnut, lionfish, and Pacific oysters

Most of us dont want to lay waste to the land

But that means different things to different people

Like the song says

“They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot”

But many of us find parking lots very useful

Study anatomy then apply critical thinking.

"Life's a bitch, then we die", so they say.

EVERYTHING about an individual organism is to facilitate reproduction ... that is the purpose of everything about life ... no exceptions ... cell membranes around chloroplasts improve reproduction ... blonde hair in rats improves reproduction ... everything in everything is about improving reproduction ...

Without reproduction, evolution stops ... that's chemistry ... we can show, atom by atom, how evolution changes are made through reproduction ... and nothing else ...

As science, this is specifically designed to be this simple ... "Once is enough" is our assumption ...

My point is that animals don't destroy their environment.
Of course they do.

Many species will overbreed and over eat and destroy their own environments.

Elephants, for example.

Are you thinking this stuff through, before you post it?

ReinyDays already told him Purposeful" is strictly a human construct
Maybe he thinks ocean currents operate with purpose, when they regulate the temps of Great Britain.

It's an ancient way of thinking. We used to have gods for everything.

Study Louis Bromfield. He created a small organic farm that proved to be environmentally sustainable but hardly profitable. Anyone who approached the land in order to make a profit does so at the expense of the land. This would be most people and most enterprises. Profit means plunder.

If no one made a profit off the land we would be no better off than the apes

Is that the idea?

The land recovers from those events, even from natural fires. What man does can destroy the ability of the soil to recover for decades. Also, man has altered the natural balance of predator and prey in many regions, which results in ecological damage. The introductions of wolves back into Yellowstone has helped the natural balance recover.

It takes longer than decades for a desert to turn back into lush land full of greenery. Elephants can cause desertification by overgrazing.

So this is another swing and a miss. You're scrambling a bit.
