Man. Where evolution went tragically wrong.

I remember hearing once that man screwed up when we started working for other people. Before that we only worked for ourselves. Built your home, cut your fire wood, hunted, dug a well, farmed, all for yourself. If you needed to hunt or fish you did. If the cellar and smoker are full, don't.

Anyone who stopped working for themselves and instead went to work for someone who was rich enough to hire them, now has to work harder for their boss than they would if they just had to work for themselves. Because now we have to work hard enough to make it worth it for ourselves and the boss.

We're a social animal and work best together ... I think that's what the archaeology says ...

The idea is that we can't sustain our agricultural practices as they degrade the land. We rob the natural fertility of the soil and replace it with chemicals. Animals enrich the land even as they get their nutrition from it. We rob the land of the organic waste needed to sustain natural fertility.

We spend the principle instead of the earned interest from the land. A recipe for bankruptcy.
Then say that instead of dragging apes into the conversation

There are probably better ways to farm than are being taught at the major agricultural colleges and thats worth looking into

Organics maybe

Regenerative farming on a larger scale

Also hydroponics

Life on earth wasn't created to be everlasting, just temporary for God's ultimate purpose. Add that to the mix.
So the all- loving attribute is a bust because the gods will come back and inflict upon humanity their second humanity wiping visit.

Lovely.

The more people working together the less efficient each is. The most efficient is one person working alone.

"A boy is a boy.
Two boys are half a boy.
Three boys are no boy at all."

You're late to the party. ;)

These critters can change the environment but do no lasting harm.

Well neither can we. The planet will be fine once we are gone. No lasting harm will come to the planet.

Did you know more CRITTERS have gone extinct than currently exist?

  • Extinction rate
Estimates suggest that 99.9% of all species that have ever lived are now extinct. This could mean that as many as five billion species have gone extinct.

  • Lifespan of a species
The average lifespan of a species is 1–10 million years, but this varies widely.

  • Extinction events
The largest extinction event occurred around 250 million years ago, when more than 90% of Earth's species went extinct. This event, known as the Permian-Triassic extinction, or the Great Dying, paved the way for new organisms, including dinosaurs.

"A boy is a boy.
Two boys are half a boy.
Three boys are no boy at all."

You're reminding me of the last episode of Yellowstone. Rip tells Beth and the boy "one cowboy can move one cow. It takes 2 cowboys to move 2 cows. But 3 cowboys can move 1000 cows."

This is a riddle where the answer lies in the idea that the "power" of the cowboys isn't directly proportional to their number, but rather that the third cowboy represents a leader or manager who can effectively coordinate and manage a much larger herd of cows, allowing them to move a significantly higher number (like 1000) with just a few cowboys.

"Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour." -- Ecc 4:9

"A boy is half a man, two boys is half a boy" ...

It takes an entire village to raise a barn ... you've never managed manual labor if you don't know two together do the work of three alone ... a carpenter and his apprentice ... you know ... real work ...

Two hands working can do more than 1000 hands praying.

I think it just means that the flanks are covered. One defensive football player can 'set the edge' and force the whole offensive play to change direction.

Certain tasks are only possible by several working together, but generally speaking a person working alone is the most productive.

And while the whole village is raising a barn their work goes undone... a net loss of productivity.

Organisms compete with other organisms for resources in order to survive. Humans got too good at it having a higher intellect, plus we can breed year round.

Do I have to raise anyone's barn? I just want people to come help raise my barn but then after that....

Point is, I may get 10 people to help me raise my roof but when my neighbors need help, I will be 1 of 10 for them. Reminds me of deer hunting. I pray my brother doesn't shoot a deer when it's cold and 2 feet of snow. Then I have to help him drag it out. But he will help me if I shoot one.

So, why do we have the ability to create intelligent designs?
As with Any Other Supreme Authority, Theism Shows Contempt for the Human Race

Only humans can design. "Intellect" means "select between." Man evolved through choosing what he could use, what he should ignore, and what he should destroy. The drive for improvement caused the positive mutations he put into his next generation's DNA.

Along with the negative 'improvements'. :omg:

If no one made a profit off the land we would be no better off than the apes

Is that the idea?
Those Who Are Sitting Pretty Tell Us to Sit Still

Profit creates competition for those who inherited their wealth and are incapable of improving. All their moralizing is for their own smug and lazy benefit.

The land recovers from those events, even from natural fires. What man does can destroy the ability of the soil to recover for decades. Also, man has altered the natural balance of predator and prey in many regions, which results in ecological damage. The introductions of wolves back into Yellowstone has helped the natural balance recover.
Make the Stinking Extinct

You can say the same thing about spiders, which kill a lot of pesky flies. The solution is to exterminate both predators and prey.

I have a purpose. Be happy. Safe. Have fun. Well fed. Healthy.

Humanity has a purpose too. But they might say "keep the human race alive as long as possible". Like, this planet isn't going to be habitable forever so maybe we need to send people out into the universe to find new planets. That goal serves humanities purpose. To continue to live for as long as possible.

The more I think about it, my purpose is just the same as humanities. Only I have no say in if we continue on as a species. That would be politicians and scientists. Humanity should have a weapon that can take out an asteroid. This is not a concern of mine.

And the planet will be fine when humans are all gone. When that day comes, what was our purpose again? If there were martians at one time, what was their purpose? Probably the same as mine. Food, comfort, happiness, safety, survival, etc
Humanity seems to be working at cross purposes.
