Man. Where evolution went tragically wrong.

I want to make a point about furs and diamonds.

1. Diamonds, they have so many diamonds it's pathetic. They only pretend that they are rare. They are not. It's a scam.

2. Furs are Green as long as you don't over trap. I watch Mountain Men. The guy traps but never over traps. He wants there to be Martins and Beaver there next year. Bobcat, Coyote, Wolves. All make beautiful warm clothing and there is a never ending supply of it so long was we are responsible. Which humans almost never are.

Great post ...

Yellow industrial grade diamonds are kinda expensive to make, and expensive to mount in a cutting tool ... and it's really expensive faceting any gemstone ... and diamonds are the hardest to facet ... Mohs 10.0 hardness ...

I trapped one season ... longlining ... mostly raccoon and opossum ... farmers would beg us to trap out the beaver ... we caught a few mink and muskrat, not as valuable as pen-raise stock ... all these animals were severely over-populated due to a complete lack of predators ... that was the year IDFW granted 3 does for every buck tag ...

I'd still rather see Taylor Swift naked than wearing furs ... maybe that's just me ...

Manmade fibers are warmer than furs, and lighter.

Of course I read the Bible. Mortal flesh is our burden to bear. We can fight it or embrace it. I'm almost 85 and ready to go anytime (anything past 80 is a gift).

What experiment can we conduct that will disproved modern evolution theory? ...

Christ died for our sins so we don't have to bear that burden ... fighting or embracing the flesh takes you away from Christ ...

People make mistakes. Nature only "does" what is natural. If there were no humans, there would be no accusations of error on the part of "evolution", itself an explanation of life as humans interpret the evidence at this time. Certainly, "creation" is not a reasonably arguable position, while simple chance that so many hugely complex adaptations can be witnessed doesn't satisfy, either. As has so often been said, how can a species get from not having an absolutely necessary adaptation in order to survive to, finally, having it? How is it that only humans have developed a central neural complex so advanced it can analyze itself? What kept all plants from being poisonous when it is so effective at protecting?
"Life" seems to have some intent, some "purpose", something that looks to us like determination to achieve some things. We cannot escape thinking this way. Probably, there is more to the subject to be learned and it may not include either a "creator" nor "random occurrence".

My brother has 65 acres. On the back is a little river. We walked it from the road all the way down to his property once. Too many fallen logs/trees and yes, BEAVER dams. It's illegal to trap beaver in MI I believe. We know there are trout in the river but have yet to catch one. Maybe this spring.

Apparently you don't read the Bible ... wearing the skin of unclean animals is an abomination before the Lord ... fox, stoat, mink, rabbits and hares ... Leviticus Chap 11 ...

Do manmade fibers "parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud" ... or is this all dogma to you?

No, generally speaking, manmade fibers are not warmer than fur; real animal fur is typically considered the superior insulator due to its natural structure with hollow hairs that trap air effectively, making it significantly warmer than most synthetic alternatives, including faux fur, although high-quality faux fur can sometimes come close in terms of warmth.

Thanks AI

Beaver trapping season in Michigan runs between Oct 25th and April 25th ... their pelts are worthless if taken during summer ... and only a general trapping permit is required, and no limits ...

Nuisance beavers can be taken anytime of year ... 65 acres of beaver pond won't pay the property taxes ...

The Scott Expedition to the South Pole failed ... in part ... because of manmade fibers ... the concurrent Amundson expedition succeeded ... in part ... because they used animal skins ... not fur, but skin ... something Roald learned while marooned among the Inuit ...

That was then ... today we have all manner of unclean fibers to mix together while Satan laughs ...

Then why do the products of evolution seem so purposeful?
Because we are hard wired to attribute agency and design to things that have neither.

And because of selection. Models that work well persist.

Interesting. I always thought they were protected.

What experiment can we conduct that will disproved modern evolution theory?
Study anatomy then apply critical thinking.

"Life's a bitch, then we die", so they say.
