The man was sentenced to life in prison. It was a first time, non-violent offense that somehow warranted life in prison because of Bill Clinton's crime bill. He sent Donald Trump a personal letter pleading for leniency. President Trump actually took the time to read it, looked into it and granted him clemency. He did commit the crime, except life in prison was unwarranted. For what it's worth, he was a professional boxer with a record of 19-0 with 11 knockouts at the time of his arrest. It's unfortunate that he threw his boxing career away, except at least he has a second chance in life.
