Global warming weakens the Jetstream. the stream is what keep all the arctic cold air in the artic. When the Jetstream weakens is can bend and flex more than usual letting the cold down from the artic into the temperate zones.

Here in Pittsburgh (north of it, actually), we have about a foot of snow on the ground, and it is expected to keep snowing for a couple more hours.

This is the first time I remember a serious effort at staying off the roads during a snowstorm. Well done, us!

Here in Pittsburgh (north of it, actually), we have about a foot of snow on the ground, and it is expected to keep snowing for a couple more hours.

This is the first time I remember a serious effort at staying off the roads during a snowstorm. Well done, us!

I have 10 inches.

The snow on the ground is about 12 inches now, but was 9 inches when I measured it about 45 minutes ago.

When it is "too cold" outside you can dress to be comfortable (I just came in from shoveling snow). When it is "too hot," there is nothing you can do to be comfortable but go inside where it's air conditioned.
