Another victim of Canadas unaccountable deathcare system. There are rarely any government entities in this country that ARE accountable.

RIP

he case of a patient who died after spending 16 hours in a Quebec hospital's emergency room without being seen by a doctor is prompting physicians to denounce conditions in the province's health system.

The incident was brought to light by Dr. Sébastien Marin, an emergency room physician, who detailed the incident in several Twitter posts Saturday.

According to Marin, the deceased patient — a man over the age of 70 — went to an unnamed hospital but returned home because no doctors could see him after 16 hours. Marin is not divulging the name of the patient, nor the hospital, citing patient confidentiality.

His condition deteriorated, prompting him to seek medical care again, this time at a different hospital. He chose to go to Barrie Memorial in Ormstown, south of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, where Marin works.

Marin told Radio-Canada that he quickly realized there was an aortic dissection.

The man died about 10 minutes after arriving at Barrie Memorial. Marin said that according to the man's medical file, he had suffered an aneurysm recently.

The entire country has fewer MRI machines than Philadelphia. Canada need more Socialism!

The REAL shame here is that the government has been left to BE unaccountable for years yet who keeps electing and putting these people in office then sitting around whing abut it?

Canadians will get the government they deserve until they man up and MAKE change.

Dragonlady

This can't be true, can it?

Free health care doesn't mean quality health care.

But now that we ae doing the equity thing in America, grossly incompetent people, mostly minorities, are filling medical schools and some will be made Doctors.

Oh, and the corrupt medical profession admits those newly minted [incompetent] Doctors will need at leats 10 years of remedial education.

The left ruins everything it touches destroys it in fact.

Same in England.

Everything new is well-forgotten old.
Then they will add more homosexuals, heterosexuals, Jews russians and communists communists to the list.
Soon, everyone who refuses to fuck in the ass will be declared mentally ill and subjected to voluntary forced euthanasia. They are all coming to this.

Hey...if he waited and died, they didn't waste any of the suicde drugs on him....right? Excellent example of socialist healthcare saving tax money.

Yeah....but it's free healthcare........so free you don't get to actually have medical care, but you still don't pay for the care you don't get.....see how that actually works?

He died peacefully knowing that his healthcare was paid for, no need to spend any more money.

Canada has abused the liberty of it's citizens, the police state control everything from ones career pursuits to healthcare while they and their dumb kids get plush, overpaid/underworked govt. roles (where they further abuse citizens and interfere with their access to resources/justice etc).

We are a caste system, Americans better choose their "allies" wisely, you've become more like us over the last few years...

There is absolutely nothing there that says these Doctors have been shown to be no good.

Same in England.
Not really. The Tories can get in with as little as 30% of the vote. We like yourselves need proportional Representation.

Actually I am not sure if that is of the vote or of the people who are able to vote but whichever we do not seem to get a Government that more than 50% of people want even when we have an overall majority.

The media claim that there is evidence that many disabled people decide to die because they cannot pay medical bills.
Now the United States is looking at the experience of a neighboring country. Voluntary death is just beginning to grow in popularity there.

Other than the guy dying from something that was apparently treatable? And the story is about the Healthcare system, not the doctors.
