MAGA response to floods in Texas

that mther fker left the thread. He can't explain how others got out if no warnings were sent out.
I did. You didn't even read it. I even quoted it for you but you didn't read it. You are only concerned with scoring points. I doubt you even live in this country.

I did read it, it wasn't everyone. So, there's that. And, it doesn't explain how one whole camp would ignore that every other camp site responded to.

You want me to list how everyone in five counties survived?

I guess I will start with myself. I sat on a couch while it rained. Then I ordered pizza and drank bourbon while watching Ballerina.

I posted this on another thread:
The problem is: 1) the NWS doesn't have a "GET OUt of there NOW Or you are going to DIE" alert. We get weather alerts all the time here. 2) No one could have predicted nearly two feet of rain that fast absent a tropical event; 3) Sirens would have saved lives but thats not a Fed issue.

All the youtube stories comments arw full of Leftists making political comments blaming Trump and Jesus. Sadly not kidding.

Just shows we cannot ever live peacable with the dem base. They enjoy seeing suffering and want you dead.

Wrong.
The NWS was cut by 20% last year, and caused the warnings to be just 3 hours ahead of the event instead of the 12 hours they used to be able to do.
The 3 hour warning was too late since most people in the campgrounds were asleep by then. The 12 hour warning would have saved 90 lives most likely because they could have closed and vacated the flood plain parks.
{...
The big picture: The storm that's killed at least 80 people brought federal cuts to NOAA's NWS under scrutiny after it emerged that two Texas NWS offices were missing key staff at the time, including in San Antonio where a veteran warning coordination meteorologist had taken an early retirement buyout in April.

nope, i want to know if anyone received a warning on their phone. The claim made was that warnings went out on phones. We know that camp didn't allow the girls to have phones. Therefore, it makes sense on why they wouldn't have reacted. If all the warning was floating sleeping bags, then how could the girls ignore their sleeping bags floating? There are reasons why they didn't leave, and those would have nothing to do with warnings.

It never happened before right? Tell us all about a million years of weather there

It is not about the flood happening, but about the warning coming too late to do any good.
Just a 3 hour warning won't help since everyone is already asleep by then.
Before the NWS cuts, they used to give a 12 hour warning.

Once more slowly....if they had a cell phone they got a warning......

Cellphones don't work out in rural parks, and everyone was already asleep when the warning was posted.
If the warning had come earlier, as it used to, then the rangers would have closed and vacated the flood plain parks.

Your OP is itself fake news. We just find it disgusting that the climate cult uses these horrible tragedies to PUSH YOUR AGENDA about climate change.

While only incremental, Global Warming is definitely making storms more frequent, larger, faster, etc.
Warmer air means more ocean evaporation, which leads to more convection, wind, rain, etc.

the forecast was 12 hours before. 5 to 7 inches of rain. What other warning you need for camping next to a river that's flooded in the past?

That's ridiculous. And there were phone warnings and other camps evacuated in time.
