It turned out to be exactly that --- hyperbolic shrilling.

Recall, they alleged that whole cities were burnt to the ground....and when questioned, they retreated.
Retreated to city "blocks" being burned to the ground, and when again questioned they again retreated.
Retreated to " buildings....burned"

So Yidnar's & Mary's trajectory has been....entire cities, (oops....didn't mean 'cities',)
We meant blocks.....(ooops, didn't mean 'entire blocks'.)
We meant only some 'buildings' got burned.
