Little Girl Trashes a Walmart; Adults Make Excuses

First thing I would have done is find the parent there and tell them they will pay every penny for the cost of both the damaged merchandise as well as the cost of clean-up.
Any employee should know they are permitted to step in and stop this behavior without fear. That's why adults are AFRAID to do anything about these "kids"

This is trauma, or she's "dysregulated", or she needs a snack. Or the work is too hard for her, or too easy and she's bored.

These are the excuses we hear in the public schools day after day, week after week for behavior like this. I have seen this so many times I can't tell you. In my state you're not allowed to touch the child for just property destruction. You must allow them to destroy whatever.

Note that most adults here are rightly appalled, but one says "You don't know what she's been through". This is no help to children. In eight years when her criminal behavior escalates, the cops will not care "what she's been through". They will just arrest her.

By the way, I have personally seen this many, many times--at SCHOOL. The other children in the class are escorted out to walk the halls while the offender "de-escalates".

Most think the real problem in schools is Woke. No. This is the real problem.

I am not going to make any excuses so don't think that I am. I do want to say that the diet of "non-food" (I think you know what I mean) is causing an epidemic of brain disorder such as autism and Asperger. Do you think I am exaggerating? I am not. But where can you find natural food these days? So, I am not making excuses but I am also not willing to put the blame on the devil.

The REAL problem is adults face serious repercussions for touching the child of another "parent" and even these kids know there are no consequences

Typical black misbehaving. See stuff like this all the time in Wal Mart. With trashy blacks you get trashy behavior.

When my mother brought me shopping as a kid, if I so much as raised my voice, I was openly spanked in the store for all to see. This kind of shit would have gotten me killed. But of course I was raised in an educated white home with a mom AND a dad and both having college degrees.

Cannot and will not argue with you there, and please note I am NOT blaming the child. It's the adults who will not draw firm boundaries that are the problem here. No matter the condition, this behavior is unacceptable. The way you know this is that in 8 years or so if she does that, she'll just get arrested. A jury/judge might find her less culpable if she has true mental conditions, but she will still be arrested--that is, STOPPED.

No one is stopping her here.

I have been saying here for a long time: in my state we can only restrain them for a short period if they are in immediate physical danger, not for any property damage. You have to let the kids destroy whatever.

Some parents sign papers that you cannot restrain their child for any reason. So when the kid runs outside in the street, the best thing you can do is chase him. But not touch him.

I wish I were kidding.

You should blame the child for her behavior. And the "parent."

That kid is old enough to know what she can GET AWAY WITH

Well the child should be somewhat accountable, yes. But the greater blame goes to the so-called "adults" in her life

Growing up I also FEARED other adults. I was always afraid to get out of line in front of ANY adult.

Get back with me when you have 200+ people watching the results of your students' learning LIVE....and they're all recording.
@unkatare’s ignorance of lower grade students is only surpassed by his willingness to proudly display it.

His claims that he would simply physically control and thrash those students into submission are laughable.

If you teach kids music, my hat is off to you. As you indicated, as you are judged by how well your students can perform as something that is brand new to them.

Anyone who were to touch my youngest would get an epic ass-beating. Anyone who were to touch my older son, he would do it himself.

Maybe carrying a lasso is what people should start doing where kids are concerned in a situation like this one. If you can't lay a hand on them anymore, a lasso will take care of them. :) :) :)

God bless you always!!!

"Typical"?

Rejected, every bit of this. No

This is so good I'm going to share it with my teacher friends tomorrow. We need to learn lassoing!

Are you sure? People go to great links to be a social media star.

Yes, because this looks just like the destructive tantrums I've seen over and over. Most kids are not great actors, and how would you recruit all the shoppers to react like this in a walmart?

Thank you. :) :) :)

One of my favorite film trilogies is The Mighty Ducks and near the end of the second film which is now 30 years old (Yikes!), one of the duck players protects his girl teammate from one of the players on the other team by using his lasso and was like, "Where I come from, we treat ladies with respect!"

God bless you and the cast always!!!

P.S. "Dwayne Robertson: Austin, Texas....." :) :) :)

The culture of abandoning accountability. We have very good friends who years ago had a terminally ill child and they still held that child accountable when he stepped out of line like we all step out of line or he did not adhere to standards and expectations of society. They didn’t walk around expecting entitlement for their child or themselves.

These voices in the Walmart video walking around making excuses for the little girl is pathetic.
