Actually, the dynasty started with Gail Goodrich and Walt Hazzard.
1963-1964, and 1964-1965 was their first and second national titles. Texas Western (now Texas at El Paso) won 1965-1966. Then UCLA ran with 10 straight titles.

And then Alcindor/Jabbar led expansiaon Milwaukie Bucks 4-0 routr ove theBalimore Buletsand Wes Unsold......................

I was fortunate enough to live in So. Ca. during that period of time and Channel 5 (KTLA) televised all their games with Dick Enberg. John Wooden made all those championships possible, it wouldn't have happened without him.
Jabbar has a book called "Giant Steps" and is a good read on the athlete

There wasa some bizzare yearewhen TexasWestern won the title over Kenturcky - the year that Alcindor was a freshsman in 1966.

The UCLA freshman would have destroyed Texas Western. m

That year, the UCLA freshman team with Alcindor beat the UCLA varsity squad, which was a ranked team.
