Let us just say it, the Republicans are the problem

It all started when a Black president (Obama) was elected. The Republicans started to shift away from compromise to "my way or the highway".

I still remember seeing this during Obama's State of the Union address:

If I did equal the work of others I would have to slow down.

Unfortunately, equal abilities and work is far different.

From Brookings Institute:

Let’s Just Say It: The Republicans are the Problem

We have been studying Washington politics and Congress for more than 40 years, and never have we seen them this dysfunctional. In our past writings, we have criticized both parties when we believed it was warranted. Today, however, we have no choice but to acknowledge that the core of the problem lies with the Republican Party.

The GOP has become an insurgent outlier in American politics. It is ideologically extreme; scornful of compromise; unmoved by conventional understanding of facts, evidence and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition.

This board is the perfect example of this. There is never a debate here as the Trump supporters ignore and run away from all data, statistics and facts and consistently blame the messenger with TDS. It is ignorant and biased behavior.

Repubtards just want to be in power and to hell with the country. Does anybody really think that Trump is president of the country? HELL NO!! Trump is president of and for TRUMP. Bigly!!!

To the OP.

No problemo. Just toss them out next election.

I want the 2 party system abolished, and I am saying that as someone who sits further to the right than most people. Republicans aren't America first. We should be America only.

How much of a further-right President has this country ever had, than Donald J. Trump? MAGA has completely re-defined conservatism and the Republican Party, even more so than Reagan did.

I don't think it gets any more to the right than it is now.

Republicans have been the problem for well over 50 years – a roadblock to making progress addressing important issues, making matters worse with their failed, wrongheaded agenda.
Progress: Making a big mess for others the clean up.

Just like MAGA
In reality, MAGA is just a campaign slogan the left has used to lump all their opposition into one group. I believe the vast majority of the American electorate opposes socialism to the degree that the Democrat party is championing it.

Idiot OP has to go back 13 years to find something to whine and cry about. :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg:

Let troops in Washington be the current metaphor for both parties (or the southern border).

You mean the black president who despised his white grandmother and whose wife was in her 40’s before she could even pretend to be proud of America?

No kidding, which Biden "success" do you miss most: Millions of illegals, highest inflation in 40 years, highest gas prices in 7 years, biggest Medicare Part B premium increase ever or Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Trump is an ex-Democrat. His policies aren't "far-right", they are fairly leftist when you really look at it. An actual Far-Right President would have abolished the Federal Reserve, left NATO, ceased hosting military bases in Europe and the Middle East, left most matters up to the states, not imposed the tariffs - which is what I would have wanted. Instead, we seem to be getting increased government involvement in the economy, which is leftist.
