I studied income tax accounting when I was in college. To meet CA requirements, I also studied taxes on buildings and homes and such. However, I hired tax experts to handle tax requirements for me.

If you got paid by a firm, chances are they told the Feds a lot about your incomes. They were in effect spying on you for the IRS.

Here you can learn from tax experts and maybe over time you can be a tax expert.

If you work for somebody else, either wages or salary, then we don't trust you to even know you're supposed to pay taxes ... so we have to task your employer with having to pay your taxes for you ...

It's called "Withholding Taxes" ... the worker has no choice in the matter ... the employer is acting as a tax collector, not a spy ... and the employer reports everything to the tax authorities ... otherwise the taxes wouldn't get paid, and what's the point of an income tax if no one reports income? ...

Fully half the US population is of below average intelligence ... and have trouble balancing their checking accounts ... they wouldn't understand taxes ...

Good for you, Robert.

I agree with some of what you say to the forum. How will the IRS know the workers income unless the company operates as a spy?

Because the company uses that exact payroll amount as a tax deduction ... for studying this is college, you sure don't know very much about income taxes ...

On a worksheet ... subtract expenses from revenue ... the difference is the amount you claim to have donated to your wife's 501(c)(3) corporation ... without earnings, your company pays NO income taxes ...

... or just claim it as bogus payroll ... see Line 26 "Wages" in Part II "Expenses" on the Schedule C of the IRS Form 1040 ... if no one reports income, no one pays taxes ...

=====

Frankly, I'd be more worried about the banks reporting me to the IRS, or the DEA ... your boss is reporting his own tax deduction, if you didn't want it reported, you should have worked "under the table" ...

I grow my hair down to my butt, reek of marijuana, depositing thousands of dollars, in cash, every week for almost 20 years ... with an immediate 15.3% tax break ... then file as many 4265's and 3383's to clear out most of the remaining tax load ... all legal, all above board ... valid receipts to verify everything ... not so much for the IRS, but rather for the DEA ...

This is what's taught in the University of Hard Knocks, School of Creative Accounting ... for which I have a "BS" degree, I "bullshit" you knot ... ha ha ha ha ha ...

I was self-employed for thirty years, and I had to spy on myself for the IRS.

Bring back the tar and feather....

You took the path that is very explicit for the Democrats. To first try to humiliate those you send notes to on this forum. Then when you know very well the IRS is handed for free, incomes made by workers, the spin machine starts churning.
Let the stories begin happens.

Then move to a land where there's no 16th Amendment ... I happen to like good roads, fair courts and a local fire department ... I've been a wage-slave in my life, no better than modern serfdom ... serve your overlords and keep your mouth shut ...

Death and taxes ... maybe scale back a bit next trip to the Dispensary ...

My point is it's worth wild to spend the time working the system ... instead of complaining about all the tax breaks businesses get, you should open a business and start taking these tax breaks yourself ...

Why not end strife by just making solid points leaving out the attack on posters?
I know a lot about roads. Do you know that most roads in the USA are paid for by contractors and not taxes?

I am trying to get off the road to Serfdom, for the citizens. The bulk of firefighting is done by citizens who volunteer. States Courts are paid for; here is an explanation.

I stopped complaining over so called tax breaks for business once I opened businesses and saw the facts. I quit the Democrats party in fact once I caught on.

T ax breaks for business work sort of like this. Business, charge into greatness so you pay more taxes. And sure thing, Business charges into greatness and like the dairy cows, chug out more cash to the Governments.

I'm attacking your ideas ... sorry if that upsets you ... maybe you should keep your opinions to yourself ...

Line 26 on Sch C remains ... you claimed to have studied this in college, yet you ignore this obvious fact ... simply put, you aren't expressing very much knowledge of taxes or business ...

If I pay you $50,000 in a year ... do you really expect me to pay your taxes? ... because I'm claiming that $50,000 as a deduction (line 26 on Sch C) and I'm telling the IRS who I paid that to ... including SSN ... you do want my half of your retirement contribution, right? ...

You pay for roads at the gas pump ... 40¢ a gallon {Cite} ... does that make all gas stations "spies" for the government? ... grocery stores charge sales taxes, does that mean they work for the government in the 45 states that assess a sales tax, but not the five that don't? ...

You don't even mention banks ... who tell you straight up they work for the government and not you ... how about your house cat, you know she's spying for someone ..

Fine since you enjoy attacks, we will waste time attacking each other for their ideas. Do not be upset when I smash your ideas into piles of dust.

Well, this college course I took was around 1974 and as I said to you, I hired tax experts.

When you paid me, your money went to pay taxes unless you counterfeit money.
I expect only what we contracted with each other.
