Yesterday was Ash Wednesday. My mother isn't Catholic, but she still cooked fried zucchini and fried lentils with rice, the orthodox don't eat meat on Wednesdays either, and the orthodox fast before Easter too, and it just fitted in with that. I didn't eat any meat yesterday. At Lent I will eat less and more vegetables, less meat, less sweets. I normally eat a lot of sweets, and now I do without them.
