If Iran Falls, China's Empire Falls With It (Here's Why)

Apr 27, 2026

Beijing's empire isn't built on factories, AI labs, or rare earths. It's built on a single nation the West spent two decades dismissing — Iran. And the day Tehran's regime falls, the entire architecture China assembled over thirty years folds inward like wet cardboard. In this deep dive, we expose the hidden financial, energy, and geographic dependencies binding Beijing to Tehran — from the secret yuan-settled oil deals and the petroyuan experiment, to the Belt and Road's only viable land corridor, to the $9–12 billion annual "shadow fleet" subsidy quietly underwriting Chinese export manufacturing. We examine why China cannot quietly retreat from this relationship, why the 2021 $400 billion deal is really a desperate de-dollarization laboratory, and why history's empires — from the Portuguese at Hormuz to the British at Suez — always collapse at the chokepoint nobody else thought mattered. If you care about macroeconomics, geopolitics, the future of the dollar, and the actual fault lines under the US-China rivalry, this one is for you.

Commentary:
Amazing geopolitics views! Bravo! You’ve pointed the true reason behind this war and indirectly we know understand washington first move with Venezuela… Brilliant!
Of course. It would be extremely foolish to go to war against China or sanction it immediately. On the other, it would be extremely foolish to ignore the problem. China’s evil, too. This war must be finished quickly, and China’s aid will help prolong it ‘til the mid-terms. Very tough challenge.
Every administration since 1949, with regard to China, and since 1979 with regard to Iran, have failed to state in stark honest terms why those states had their nationalism hijacked by political gangs who then enslaved that nationalism to hegemonic political agendas that embarked on advancing their political regimes, or the powers of, beyond their shores and making geopolitical claims that are not at all about existential national interest but are totally about advancing their political narrative on, and against others.

I have to be honest, Trump is ******* it up badly.

This shit should have been done two weeks ago. Screw that whole "We want them to be able to recover" bullshit.

The logic goes like this. If you want them to recover, then there is no old leadership in power.

If the old leadership is in power, then you failed to get them to the point of no recovery.

I am not so sure China falls. They are building massive power through hydro dams. They created a way to make electric from coal with out burning it. They are developing grid level sodium batteries cheap to make and hold efficiency over 6000 cycles. They have made iron based grid level batteries also highly efficient over thousands of cycles. Soon they won't need oil.

And there's no way any of that will impact Trumps MAGA USA amiright?

Right??

Have you thought about that even once?

Gas is already $4.50 and headed higher for the foreseeable future. Do you think that's good for the US economy?

MAGA is a bigger Cult than Bidens. Biden only screwed up America, MAGA wants to take down the entire world

China will be fine without Iran, they may have to buy more oil from Russia, though.
Probably the other OPEC countries, too. Who by the way, are ramping up production so oil is available.
Iran is officially kicked out of OPEC, yes China is experiencing gas lines like the US did in the 70s, but that will pass soon. They will have plenty of supply.

MAGA is doing what every president since Ford should have done. :rolleyes-41:

If Iran falls it can use used for US military operations to take down Russia. If Russia can be toppeld, then the US can strangle China. America wants to control the entire world or it will destroy it.
