So in a nutshell: None of America's government agencies can be secure now, on account of the division of the country's domestic politics. The CIA could quite likely be in an internal fight against it's own! Saving the country from a nuclear holocaust is plenty of motivation!

Indeed, even Milley, Flynn, and Flynn can't be imagined to be on the same team on account of domestic politics trumping national security.

And especially with the current war against Russia, that is becoming so dangerous on it getting out of control.

It can't, though. No matter how hard you all want to insist that it can, gun violence ain't gonna go down unless the number of guns is reduced. Period. Not a popular opinion, I know, but it's pretty much a statistical truth.

I remember having gun control debates with right wingers back in the 1990s and they used to always talk about Israel and Switzerland as the two examples of gun cultures that proved gun cultures can be peaceful. I never see anyone talking about Israel and Switzerland anymore because even Israel and Switzerland think our gun laws are crazy, and have repeatedly told us so.

I am not interested in removing people's rights to hunt game, or do sport shooting, or defend themselves with reasonable firepower against a home invasion. We can allow for all those things and still do a much better job of controlling guns in this country.

And there's absolutely nothing in the 2nd Amendment that precludes better regulation of them. The 2nd Amendment has been falsely interpreted by a Supreme Court that has been clearly corrupted by dark money over the last 20 years as the ProPublica reports now substantially document.

I hope we can fix the broken Courts now that people know the truth, and I would be totally fine with moving every last one of the Supreme Court justices from the bench and appointing and making the Court smaller -- say 5 justices. Start over. Wipe the slate clean. There have been partisan confirmations going back the last 40 years on both sides. Just star over again. Clean out the district and appellate courts, too.

Depending on the damage, this could be a way for government like you stated to expand it's surveillance on all platforms, but why would it not be able to control it's own intelligence at a military level ? Is Biden so weak that he is losing control of the military intelligence to 21 year olds ???

What separates Leftists from those who are "fine with it" is that Leftists imagine they are the ones imposing the tyranny.

There wasn't really anything strategic in the so-called leaked documents. It was all pretty much open source information. Given the way western mainstream media, which are really only extentions of the state department in reality, have ben framing the story, it almost seems like the ''leak'' itself is being used as a stall tactic for their so-called spring offensive, regardless of whether the ''leak'' was convenient timing or purposeful. They probably want to put it off until the summer and ride on that gravy train as much as they can. Supposedly they're starting to rebuild/re-establish their biolabs over there. So they'll need to continue to prolong it for more taxpayer funds for that stuff, at the very least.

As to the administration's quickness to look for opportunity to control the narratives of online communication, full spectrum dominance has always been a goal of the establishment, so it's a given they aren't gonna want to let a perfectly good ''crisis'' go to waste and try to expand surveillance on Americans. So they'll wanna get their ministry of truth up and running again while they have observable , bipartisan support for the covenient base narrative.

As usual, the people will love them for it. Much the same way they loved them when they sold us the Iraq War. The Patriot Act. And numerous other tyrannies framed under the illusion of ''patriotism.'' All that's missing is another theme song. Heh heh.

Give it a week or two, you'll see it play out. You'll have the extentions of the state department operating from behind the cloak of journalism talking about how it's important to push back the so-called spring offensive we heard about all winter to the summer. I dunno what kind of bullshit narrative they'll come up with to sell it, though. I'm sure it'll be creative. Creative by their standards anyway...

Top Secret is an extensive investigation and is extremely compartmentalized

The investigations required for Secret and Top Secret are pretty much the same. And, it's not the investigation that is compartmentalized, it's the information itself that is compartmentalized, but that's only Top Secret SCI (Secret Compartmentalized Information).
