This is quite backward thinking. Religion is not something you pick & choose in a cavalier way. It's not a buffet.

well I sent the two groups away and told them to come back in 2 weeks, Only one came back so I studied with them and they made sense.

Wow!

Way to go RetiredGySgt!

I am of the belief that finding a group of people to fellowship with and assist who have similar goals spirituality to what we have is a huge aspect of having genuine peace of mind and even joy.

Thank you for seconding my motion Zebra.

I notice that you use a Latin sentence in your signature.

Would you be interested in getting a copy of the article on "The AntiChrist" that appears in the eighth century edition of the Roman Catholic Encyclopaedia?

If you are interested I can send you some names. I believe that that article from over thirteen hundred years ago explains a lot about the spiritual environment of the "Dark Ages."

You left out “neither”

Which I’m gonna guess is the option most of us would choose
Most of "US?" Who are "US?" You really need to get out more often because 95% of the world believe in some form of higher power or God. You are in the vast minority.

I dare you to put together a film production cooperative or kibbutz,
of your family and friends and set up a meeting for you to meet face to face with
near death experiencer Robert Marshall and his wife Carol for YOU to debate Robert and Carol Marshall on that point?

I could be wrong, but I do believe that you could fairly easily set up a meeting with near death experiencer Robert Marshall, [and / or his wife Carol], who you can learn more about here:

So, there was a couple of LDS missionaries back in the 1970's that were out knocking doors. They came to a woman's door and knocked. The woman let them in to give their lesson to them. Now, one of the missionaries had a cast on his arm that he had broken the week before. Wasn't healed yet. After the gave their lesson, the woman told them that she was a faith healer and that she could heal his arm. The missionaries looked at each other and then said to them that she could not do that. She did not have the power nor the authority of the Priesthood to heal. She challenged the missionary to take off his cast after she heals him. So, she did her thing and he felt that his arm was healed. So, they gut off the cast and his arm was as good as new. The missionaries left and the rest of the day were puzzled and confused. Later that evening, they went to their mission president and told him what had happened. The mission president told him to stand up. The mission president stood up and raised his right arm to the square and said, " Satan, in the name of Jesus Christ, I command you to depart!" The missionary's arm immediately went back to be broken and the pain was substantial. The moral of this true story is Satan can bound our bodies and do what appears to be miracles. See, Jesus would not have sent this charlitan back feeling all the pain because he had atoned for his life, sins and pains.

I think this guy got a lot of information from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is fooling people into not furthering their needs for the ordinances and covenants required for reaching the highest degree in Heaven. You're wasting your time with this. Also, Judaism? Been there and done it. Jesus and his original Apostles, including Paul corrected Jewish teachings like how they continue to teach Isaiah's messianic prophecies aren't about Jesus but about King Hezekiah.

Both are sort of phony Cults with crazy rules. Neither is correct.

Use the real Bible. Go to Church on the Sabbath as the Bible dictates. Quit marrying 16 yr old hotties for your stable.//
Naw. Rest on the Sabbath so you'll be wide awake during the Sunday-Go-To-Meetin' sermon.

Ya, what crazy rules? And, which Bible is the real Bible?
LDS go to Church on the Sabbath. No one is marrying or has married 16 year olds. You don't understand the difference between marriage and sealings. Stop spreading lies. The Bible is explicate about spreading lies.

Enjoy the book of Mormon. The real Bible was written long ago. Needed no modifications. muzzslime, also wrote their own book.

The Book of Mormon was also written long ago and is another testament of Jesus Christ. Isaiah chapter 29. The marvelous work and wonder. The book that was sealed.

I go by the Lords day. The 7th day. Or Sunday. I dont care what crazy cults or Muslims (Fri) do. I go old school. What they drew up from the original Bible not the Koran or John Smith.

Christians worship on Sunday, known as the Lord’s Day, to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Are you suggesting that Sunday is the 7th day?

Does the New Testament specifically command Christians to worship Jesus Christ on The Lord's Day as opposed to the Jewish Sabbath?

No. But Jesus spoke about certain principles of faith that have a "higher authority" over the Sabbath - meaning things like healing the sick and traveling to help others could/should be done on the Sabbath.

Jesus also stated that the Sabbath was made for mankind - not the other way around - meaning that mankind was given the right to govern the Sabbath.

In my opinion, the radical Christian conspiracy theory debate over what day the Sabbath should fall on is silly. When God created the world in Genesis, the individual days were not yet named. God simply, "Blessed the 7th day and made it Holy".

From a modern day perspective, many people start their weeks on Monday so the 7th day to them would indeed be Sunday.

Regardless, the only issue debated in the Bible was what could be done or what should not be done on the Sabbath. The name of the day itself is never really debated at all, to my knowledge.

And like others have stated, Catholics made Sunday "The Day of the Lord" - in honor of the Resurrection. It represents a "New Beginning" and is celebrated on first day of the week, accordingly.

And for the conspiracy theorists - Catholics do not regard Sunday as "The Sabbath" but simply as the mandatory day of the week to attend Mass - The Sunday Liturgy. Catholics are well aware that Saturday is considered the Jewish Sabbath.

Catholics also have the option of attending Saturday evening Mass - which is considered the Sunday Liturgy. So if a a Catholic feels that strongly about it, they can honor the Sabbath on Saturday in that regard.

But the major prophets certainly did predict that the seventh day Sattath would be restored again, much as was done in the time of Moses.

19;And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.

20;And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the Lord out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the Lord, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the Lord.

21;And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the Lord.

22;For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.

23;And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

24;And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.
[Isaiah 66]

We have an excess of denominations. Many are struggling to pay expenses. As they consolidate, congregations with members from random extinct branches may ignore the denomination question and be just the local church where everyone is welcome.
