It's not on the table. Putin and Russia are the ones who have to accept that their policy failed.
Cut a deal, cut their losses and do what they can to save face.
That is option A.
Option B. is more of the same, ie they keep dying a death of a thousand cuts.
it is their call when to stop killing their own men.

May be. May be not. Actually, if we attack you first we'll suffer rather modest and acceptable damage. You know, it's like playing Russian roulette. If we play - we have five chances out of six to win. If we don't play - we have no chances at all. In the worst case we'll have a good company in Hell. In the best case you are dead and we are not.
OR, you cut a deal and accept a peace that doesn't give you much.
Moving forward, it is annoying for you that nato is in eastern europe, but over time, you get over it.

It's not an option. We can't allow continue of genocide of Russians in Ukraine and we can't allow NATO forces in Eastern Europe. So its up to you to make few steps back and alleviate or fight a nuclear war (which you can't win).
THere's plenty to talk about. US, taking a loss is just not going to be one of the outcomes.

1. Allowing russians who want to leave Ukraine to leave and emigrate to Russia, would be a completely reasonable point for Russia to push for.
2. You're not getting nato out of eastern europe. Not at this point in time. Your position is no where strong enough to make that demand.
