Based on the absurd figure for Russia in the OP , Ukraine and NATO combined have lost between 6 and 8 million .

IN THE REAL WORLD
Russian losses are around 300 000 absolute maximum and Ukeys plus Others at between 1.2 and 1.8 million .

Regardless it has developed into a massacre and Russia's main problem now is coping with the number who surrender.

Will Russia take out Odessa before seriously negotiating or will they also take Kyiv if the Iran scrap provides good deflection/ cover ?

They have been beat down too often for too long.

The most loyal divisions of the military are guarding Putin....which is the only way he remains in power.

However, money is another matter.
Putin's power does not reach the foreign banks of the world. Which many of his wealthy supporters use....and many are not as supportive as Putin would like. Especially because the war is turning Russia into a garbage dump. The infrastructure is crumbling just like the military is.
Their once proud long range ICBM nuclear program is in pieces....they have had to cannibalize old missiles for working parts to cobble together ones which will function as designed....

This includes the nuclear cores....
They have had to reprocess the nuclear cores to come up with sufficient tritium to enhance the plutonium.

Just like they have been cannibalizing old tanks, tracks, and APCs to make stuff work for their war in Ukraine.

And considering how things are going in Ukraine at the moment....it's not looking good for Russia.

Russia has too much pride to be functional in Ukraine. Which is why Ukraine is making gains using drone warfare. They have stretched the front line to a distance of 25-40 kilometers wide....80 km in some areas. Making supplies extremely difficult for Russian Troops.

To me it's more a WW I Western Front style fight. Once again technology is defeating the Military Art and causing a stalemate.
