Of course, no. The new guy needs to ensure his position and he still have NATO forces in Eastern Europe. If he try to allow them to stay there - he'll got killed (either by NATO or Russians).
So, he'll try to eliminate them one way or another. One can't admit that a war for survival is failed, coz it is a suicide. And people, usually, don't like committing suicide.
You know, we can allow discussion should Poland or Cuba be socialistic or capitalistic, should they trade more with Russia or with Germany. But whoever is in charge, they can't allow Russian missiles on Cuba or American missiles in Poland or Romania, they can't allow genocide of Russian-speaking people in Ukraine or English-speaking people in Canada.
And even lesser they can agree with "decolonisation" of America or Russia.
