Landfill Vapor Retrieval. Why Not More?

I worked on many Methane/Vapor retrieval projects in Canada. Using the gasses produced from Large Landfills.

Does anyone know how that is going here in the US?

It worked out well, providing jobs for the local communities. I hope we are moving strongly in that direction.

That is one of the alternatives that has been shown to work. There are many small community sized projects that can take what is now wasted, and create jobs and monetary savings for communities. But there is a lot of opposition to these kind of projects from large energy companies.
