Rosenbaum was mentally ill.

He had just left the mental hospital. His fiancé said he wasn't interested in the protest, he just stumbled across it and decided to join.

Rosenbaum threw a baggy at Kyle that held the stuff he had gotten from the mental hospital.

If guns were left at home that night, everyone would've been better off.

If those who were rioting and committing arson had stayed home, everyone would've been better off. Bottom line is they tried to attack a kid with a gun and assumed room temperature because of it.

I left the safety of my home and went out to confront people in a violent situation that was completely no business of mine.

It was common knowledge for WEEKS ahead of this tragedy that average Americans who were in the wrong place at the wrong time, were being beat down, stomped out and several, killed due to the lawlessness. He had EVERY RIGHT to be armed and every right to support the local community.
