Bush lost Afghanistan in the late winter of 2002 and 2003 when he pulled out the spec ops, mountain troops, and helichopper units needed for fighting those bad boys.

By 2009, all we could do is hope to hold our own, and Karzai won't permit that.

So . . . the troops need to come home.
