You were calling it pedophilia not statutory rape, there's a difference. I'm not defending anything, the op said that a Christian organization was including someone that sang about pedophilia, not statutory rape. A song that he did 25 years ago, one would hope based on his faith today, that he's a changed man.

All of the Christian bashers want to conveniently leave out the fact that Christianity is a faith based on forgiveness and redemption. It's actually ironic that's the tactic used today given the fact that in the 80's and 90's the Christian bashers used the notion that Christian's were 'holier than thou' and looked down their noses at everyone. Now that modern Christianity has embraced the notion of redemption, and that sinners can be a voice for Jesus (which is all throughout the Bible), they attack that. It's really just about attacking Christians, very poorly disguised since now the Christian bashers are the 'holier than thou' preachers.
