Hanoi John, We Hardly Knew Ye
John Kerry confesses to treason on Meet The Press:

MR. RUSSERT: And you have a hat that the CIA agent gave you?

SEN. KERRY: I still have the hat that he gave me, and I hope the guy would come out of the woodwork and say, "I'm the guy who went up with John Kerry. We delivered weapons to the Khmer Rouge on the coastline of Cambodia." We went out of Ha Tien, which is right in Vietnam. We went north up into the border. And I have some photographs of that, and that's what we did. So, you know, the two were jumbled together, but we were on the Cambodian border on Christmas Eve, absolutely.

Running guns to the Khmer Rouge? Uhh, Tall Dour One, they were on the other side.

Now, let's be fair here. Since Sen. Kerry is a former prosecutor, it is possible that he has simply retained the hat as evidence, with the hope that Mystery Guy will come out of the woodwork and confess so that Kerry can slip the cuffs on him.

One thing is for certain - when Kerry says events were "jumbled together", he is utterly convincing - his memory of that era seems to be just a little bit toasty.

Hat Tip to Roland; Kerry's confusion on abortion is here.

Nice try. John Kerry's appearance on NBC's Meet the Press reveiled something you conservatives had feared all along...he has plans to run again in 2008!

Except he was smart enough to learn from his mistakes; he plans to allow the media to see his military record; he also challenged the credibility of his accusors; an outstanding tactic for a second attempt for the white house; if you nip his "military record" argument at the bud right now, the conservatives will have no ammunition to work with in 2008. Most important, he is visiting world leaders, in a campaign to introduce himself to the world.

This posting is nothing more than proof that you know that Kerry will run again and you're already preparing your campaign against him. Just like we're passing around Rudy's "cross-dressed" picture for our campaign against him.

Let the battles begin!

 Scared of Kerry or Kennedy? Give it a rest. The best you have is Ford and no one is pushing him.

Wow!! there's a news flash, Kerry considering another run at the White House. It's a good thing we have you around to point this stuff out.

And fear of Kerry running in 08 is hardly the situtation. There isn't enough supply of Botox for him to look any better in 4 years.

Let him run. Who cares? We beat him once and we can beat him again.

The military record wasnt the only ammunition against him. heck it wouldnt have become ammunition if he hadnt made his vietnam service the central issue.

You still dont get that John Kerry's problem was himself. He is still focusing on Vietnam. And whats more is he just confessed to committing Treason during the Vietnam war. He cant stay consistant on his pandering even in the same interview. He still cant decide whether the World is safer without Saddam or we are at a greater threat.

As for Rudy. He isnt going to get the Republican nomination. But if he did and Kerry ran against him Kerry would be screwed because Rudy would win New York. And Kerry wouldnt win a single state he lost this time around.

Not to mention his wife isnt going to let him run. She atleast realizes his campaign made them a laughing stock.

Rudy? :rotflmao:

Seriously, who's going to beat John Kerry in 2008?

Dress him up like a little girl and put him on a pony, I don't care. I'm not in support of Rudy for President.

So what you're saying is that the republican party has no answer to John Kerry?

Yeah, it was George W Bush and he kicked Kerry's ass! Getting alittle ahead of yourself hylandrdet. You can no more assume Kerry is going to be the nominee than Boxer or any other Dem.

:poop: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tm...wl_mideast_afp/iraqvoteworldreax_050131002006

UN Secretary General Kofi Annan (news - web sites) praised the Iraqis who turned out despite the simmering insurgent violence, which left at least 37 people dead and dozens wounded in suicide attacks on voting centres.

Not once mentioning that the UN failed to provide monitors, for fear of violence.

NATO (news - web sites) Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer also hailed the conduct of the vote, and pledged that alliance would increase its role in training the new Iraqi security forces in the coming months.

"These elections were a milestone, but there is still a long road ahead," he said, adding: "The Iraqi people must build a democracy that meets their needs and their desires."
Failing to mention that he had held up the pledged Nato support for the preceeding months...

The French government, which was one of the fiercest opponents of the US-led invasion of Iraq, hailed the vote as a "great success for the international community" and called the high voter turnout "good news".

"France never stopped saying, in unison with the international community, that this was a crucial step," a government spokesman said.
You can't 'stop' saying something you never said.

In Berlin, the German government hailed the election as "an important step on the path to construction of democratic structures."

The active participation, especially in Kurd and Shiite regions, was a sign of "the firm determination of the majority of Iraqis to take the fate and the future of their country in their own hands," said a government spokesman.

Germany believed that "all the country's ethnic and religious groups should now be associated with the political process."
More of the damning 'but'.

Why does this remind me of the "Little Red Hen?"

I'm just a student from history. GW was an incumbent, during a wartime situation; if you do your research, you'll find that the odds of beating such an incumbent are almost impossible. Yet Kerry's vote count broke the record for the most votes ever casted for a losing candidate! America want him in, just not right now!

I'm a Democrat and personally I'd prefer to see a midwesterner like Evan Bayh, Russ Feingold, or Tom Vilsack get the nomination. The idea of a moderate, midwestern Democrat at the top of ticket scares the hell out of Republicans. Rudy Giuliani will not win the GOP nomination because he's a New York liberal. He's pro-choice, pro-gay rights, and moderate on gun issues, all things that don't sit well with your buddies at Focus on the Family, the Christian Coaltion, and the other far-right groups that own and operate the GOP.

As for whether or not Kerry committed Treason, who cares. He didn't win the presidency, he's back in the Senate, and it's up to the people of Massachussets whether to keep him there.
