Do you believe Rove and others support gay rights or Hispanics/Blacks/Women for any reason other than to win elections? I don't. Some individuals do, but the Party is all about The Party.

In the 1850's it was legal for a man to own another man and whip him if he misbehaved. Women also couldn't vote, alcoholism was at an epidemic level, and child labor was perfectly acceptable.

But we were much better off then because less people supported gay marriage.

This is the only quote of Rove in the article:

The reality of the changing tide and changing demographics. The market that they previously catered to and targeted is shrinking. They need to make some adjustments in order to be viable.
