Your thought leaders are making you look like a fucking clown.
It's befitting.
Every state has their own rules on how their elections are run.
This is part of our SAFETY on National elections from enemies.
Every state is SUPPOSE to be different, not some unified national way to vote and count votes for all states identical.
Why you are so obsessed with comparing states on their election processes is a bit ignorant!
Every state has their own rules on when certain type votes are counted, and cut off dates for them
i.e. Military absentee votes can arrive after election day....in some states it might be a week after, others might be 3 days....
In some states early votes are counted the day they are made, in other states they are not counted till the polls close on election day...
In some states absentee ballot is only for military, sick, or out of town, others allow everybody to vote by mail.
Florida counts their absentee ballots the day received in most or all counties....
In Penn, and Michigan, not processed till election day.....
That is their law, because those state legislatures believe counting those votes early opens up fraud possibilities, where people knowing how the candidate's votes are coming in and tallying... can try to use that knowledge to their party's advantage.... Thus no counting until after polls are closed on election day.
States with more absentee ballots will take longer than states with fewer.... The process of signature matching takes time. And if the state allows citizens to CURE their rejected ballot, then that will add another week in some states.
No one state is going to be identical to another, and we shouldn't expect them to be.
Taking the time to count every legal vote, and time to do security checks or signature matches, is a good thing, not bad.
Arizona is taking longer to call winners than Florida, because the Arizona races are CLOSE RACES....!
In Florida the repubs shelacked the dems... so races could be called earlier.
