Donald Trump hade time to hold rallies and do other non-essential business during the impeachment. The fact is that even if the impeachment had not happened, nothing would have changed. Trump did not take it seriously until last month.

It was a partisan impeachment. The trouble is that the Republicans were the ones that were being partisan. The Democrats did the right thing as Trump clearly sought help from a foreign country against a political oipponent.

It is not the job of the House to manage a national emergency. That's what Americans elect a president to do. FEMA is the "Federal Emergency Management Administration" and FEMA has been utterly absent in this crisis. The Army Corps of Engineers has been phenomenal, but FEMA, which has had its leadership gutted with firings and no replacements, has utterly botched their response.

Remember Katrina? What did the Congress of the United States do to help New Orleans before Katrina, or Harvey. It is not the duty of the Congress to respond to an emergency. It is the duty of the President to protect the nation, and lead it in the times of trouble. Dumb Donald has abdicated that responsibility, and is blaming others for his failure.
