June 2025 inflation: 2.7%

Remember when Xiden and the Dems gave us 9.2 percent inflation in one month, and the dembots said nothing?

I do

Be careful when you say WE

Household wealth swelled at a record pace during the pandemic. From 2019 to 2022, the median net worth of American families (WE) jumped 37% to $192,900, after adjusting for inflation. It’s the largest increase ever recorded by the federal Survey of Consumer Finances, released last fall. Surging home values and rising stock ownership fed the surge.

Many of the people you describe stayed where they were during and after covid. They did not look for new jobs which were out there. Most people (WE) who looked for another job make more than WE did before Covid. Most people who stayed put didn't get raises that kept up with inflation. Talk to the CEOs of their companies.

I'm sorry YOU aren't doing better

There's still a significant wage gap between college graduates and those with less education. In 2023, young men with a four-year degree earned $77,000, while those with only a high school diploma earned $45,000.

also google the causes of inflation. I promise you the top 5 reasons for it aren't

1. Biden
2. Biden
3. Biden
4. Biden
5. Biden

But what's causing inflation now? Gas prices, beef, the stuff I sell. It's directly Donald's fault and you continue to defend it. You never defended Biden. But you claim you didn't vote for Trump. Huh
Inflation is at 2.7% and you’re bitching?

When it was 9% you didn’t complain at all. The reason wealth went up was because if you owned a home you gained wealth, if you re ted you lost big time. Trumps last year in 2019 and 2020 you needed $75,000 annual income to buy a home after Biden is was at $120,00 a year.

I didn’t blame Biden for inflation it was a rebound from the pandemic, but you were quick to praise him when the economy rebounded from a pandemic, something he had no control over. When inflation went to 9% you had excuses why Biden wasn’t to blame.

You realize you are bitching about 2.7%, and it was 9% under Biden and you didn’t *****. As long as we are under 3% inflation we are fine but the fed need to raise the interest rate.

Who said I’m not doing better? Your pot? lol! Take another hit you’re losing it.

And yet with all the inflation that covid caused, the USA did the best for the last 4 years. Every other country struggled more than we did. And our home and 401K values went up up up.

We know Biden isn't solely responsible for inflation that happened on his watch. Trump said he'd lower prices. We KNOW that Trump's policies are causing inflation. So you can blame Trump for what's going on today. Again, I sold something for $12K and had to charge my customer an extra 8.5%. That's an extra $600 bucks. Biden never cost my customers this much. Get out of here with that shit.

And what will you say if next month you see inflation go up 8.5% on everything you buy? Will you THEN admit Trump is to blame and has to go? Or will you make excuses and justify it?

You'll say "it's going to bring jobs home". And maybe it will.
You want to talk about “that shit”? You people ignore the impact of COVID on Trump’s economy 2016-2019 and then you use it to make excuses for Biden-Harris when COVID was declining in ‘22 and inflation skyrocketed.

“That shit” is you people trying to have COVID work your arguments against Trump and for Biden-Harris.

Why is inflation up 2.7%? And I don't believe that number. AND, even if it's true, just wait. On Tuesday I got hit with 8.5% tariffs. $12K deal the customer had to pay an extra $600. That's coming to you grampa. I hope you get a social security raise soon. Cost of living increase. A raise or something. I don't know what you do but this is going to cost you. US. Only 2.7% now?

This reminds me of Trump saying Obama's 2.2% gdp was pathetic and he'd give us 4, 5 or 6% gdp. Then he gave us 2.3% and you guys said "that's better than Obama's number". Not really. Not when you consider Trump's 2016 tax giveaway tax break to EVERYONE. Real smart. Reminds me of when Bush squandered Clinton's surplus. Don't say it!

Clinton's/Newt's projected surplus, squandered just like Elon's DOGE savings. Squandered in the BBB. And Trump is not lowering prices. Didn't he run on that? Now the "MISSION" is to bring jobs back home through tariffs? He should have run on that.

And god damn it GOP sold us on NAFTA in the 1980's and now they want to sell us on bringing jobs back home? Jobs they sent overseas in the 2000's? They should have threatened tariffs then. I was saying that back then. Now you want to change the ******* game again? Okay I guess. You people are ******* sheep.

You are completely lost. TDS and Democratic Party worship has consumed you and robbed you of any ability reason.

If tariffs harmed the economy, retalitory tariffs wouldn't exist.

I’m not arguing about the inflation rate, go back to the beginning of the thread and you can read all about it and cry some more.

Blah, blah, blah, Republicans! Blah, blah, blah, Democrats! You all sound stupid.

Where did the goods come from and what were the items? If you got hit with an 8.5% tariff on $12,000 and only $600, that is only 5%, so there you go, not sure what is screwed up.

I don't know how this is going to all work out. All I know is now all my customers have to pay the King an unjust tax. Above the 6% sales tax. Now they have to pay the king an extra 8.5%. And from what I'm reading 8.5% is low.

If Kamala did this you'd be calling for another Boston Tea Party

Oh shit! I think I fucked up. I didn't charge them enough. That's okay because we don't pay our vendor what they pay us. Because we pay the vendor 8.5% of what our cost to them is. The customer pays 8.5% of what we charge them.

But yea I think I fucked up and cost us $300. We still made almost $4000 profit on the deal.

Coming from the UK.

Since there is no competitor of this product in the USA, it should be exempt. I get tariffing Chinese cars because we make cars here. What I sell is German precision.

Who did you import your order from? What was the tariff before January 2025? Because tariffs have been around for decades.

So the US charges 8.5%, there is a local state tax of 6%, and you make 33%. lol! That is rich you bitching about 8.5 % and you get 33% and if you are making 33%, you know damn good and well your company is getting at least 60%, that is where the inflation is happening, you and your company are just greedy bastards that take advantage of people.

Seems to me my vendor only passed on 8.5% of the new tariff, whatever it is, on to the customers. I heard this morning Trump made a deal with the EU. 15% tariffs. This will get passed on to us. It's going to raise every ones costs around $2700 a year on average. That sure isn't what Trump ran on. That he was going to raise the cost of living, and in turn that will drive jobs back home. The daily show made fun of Trump plan to lower drug prices 1000%. That's not how that works Donald.

Aren't you worried about Trump?

What's funny about what you say is that before I came to this company, there were no discounts. Or maybe there was a 10% discount. It's a commodity. Aftermarket. You can go on line and find 15% to 20% off. We decided to give 20% off. So we are the most generous on the things I sell. So it's funny you say my company is greedy for trying to make a profit. This is part of how we stay in business. Or how we win over customers from our largest competitor. Do you want a monopoly? THEY get the same discounts we get and the don't offer any discount.

If I sell $1 million dollars worth of shit and we give 20% off, yes, we make 40% on that million. $400,000. And my customers love me for giving them a 20% discount.

Some companies, the big ones, or to steal someone from a competitor, I give 25% off even 30% off. I give GE 30% off of course.

No one knew because it was never added to the price. Now each sale I have to do the math and enter a line item for tariff.

Here's another smaller example. Customer sent me a PO for $612. I did the math and added another line item TARIFF $52. So whatever we were paying prior to last week Tuesday, we are paying an additional 8.5% tariff now. What is so hard for you to understand?

If this was going towards the debt or social security I would love it but Trump's going to squander it on billionaires just like Bush squandered Clinton's surplus. Don't you ever talk about the debt to me again you ******* hypocrites. It's final. Debt doesn't matter. Don't let Trump Jr. in 2036 cut social security because of the debt. But you will sucker.

President Donald Trump's tariffs could cost the average U.S. household approximately $2,700 in 2025 due to increased prices on imported goods and potential pass-through effects on domestic products reliant on imported components.

Because you have no idea what the tariff was, you are assuming it is up because your company is adding it on now as a surcharge, so whether the tariff is up or down the surcharge and it will never go away.

It’s real easy to understand, tariffs for the most part have not increased because Trump put them off to make deals, so any increases are all speculative and your company is just getting profits and blaming Trump, and you fall for it.

God you love that Pedo Trump huh? You defend him soo much.

Whatever it was before, it's 8.5% more today. Spin it all you want.

From my supplier: As a result of new tariff policies our costs have increased considerably....

That's all you need to read from the letter they sent. I was going to put more in but I don't want you doing a search for the wording on this letter on the internet and somehow figure out who they are. All you need to know is because of what Trump's doing, their costs have increased considerably

And so will yours, dummy.

Inflation is ticking up despite the fact that tariffs haven’t been in effect long enough for the ripple effect to be felt

And MAGA nuts celebrate?

It's going to cost them $2700 in 2025. On average that's what Trump is doing. Now USMB Republicans will argue that this is all part of the plan. To bring jobs back home. This isn't going to bring jobs home. It might bring some, and some companies might look for a home grown supplier, but mostly, we are all just going to pay for this as consumers.

Imagine how many uneducated blue collar workers voted for Trump last year because he said Democrats only cared about people with 401K's. Trump was going to lower GROCERY prices and DRILL BABY DRILL was how he was going to lower prices and he was going to roll out his replacement for Obamacare. None of that was true. Gas is $3.29 where I live. Beef prices at an all time high. My supplier just slapped us with 8.5% tariff.

I said most of us who are educated got inflation raises. Or if you looked for another job you got a better paying job that more than makes up for inflation.

Republicans said "what about Walmart workers, McD workers, uneducated blue collar workers who can't afford to pay rent.

Well, now those people need to come up with another $2700 a year to pay for Trump's plan. And wait for that good paying factory job to move back to America. 2 years from now.
